Desert Cove was pretty rundown, so we're not going to consider it. The person who toured us was very good. The apartment we viewed was supposed to be typical of the single unit apartments, but it was a little too shabby for my sister.

We visited Mountain View Manor together with my husband. We we're amazed with the people and staff. They all look really happy and it seems they are enjoying their stay in a wonderful and beautiful facility. It was a great visit! They have a very nice view from a really eye catching beautiful mountains. The staff are really accommodating, warm, and friendly. They toured us to almost every single corner of the facility. I will recommend this facility to others.

My grandmother stayed with this family run business until her death. The business is ran by Millie and her spry mother who I believe is in her 80's. My opinion of the owners is that Millie and her mother are quite pushy and opinionated to area's of care that they aren't concerned about. The nurses and assistants they employ were very kind to my grandmother. The grounds of the facility are pleasant enough although I feel not enjoyed at all. There is a pool in the courtyard that is never used - which makes sense to not allow access to it due to the fact that they care for Alzheimer and dementia patients and others with illness. While dealing with the owners was sometimes frustrating, we do feel that my grandmother received adequate care at this facility until her death.

When I visited Mountain View Manor my initial impression was on the cleanliness of the facilities as a whole. The staff seemed like they were very kind and caring, and they seemed to be meeting the needs of everyone of the community members that reside at Mountain View Manor. I know that myself or anyone of my family members would be very content living here.

Mountain View Manor is in Desert Hot Springs, CA. We happened to be visiting family and decided to make an appointment to check out the facility while there. We were trying to find a suitable place for our grandmother to live, as she is no longer to care for herself and we don't have anyone who can stay with her all day in the family. We were immediately struck by the breathtaking modern look of the outside architecture. It reminded us of many of the homes we've seen along California's upper coast. The views from every room inside of the facility were just extraordinary. The décor was warm and inviting, incorporating colors that went well against the modern appearance of the structure. The rooms were by far some of the most modern we've seen thus far. Each room had a wide-screen panel on the wall with speakers. There were easy chairs in front of the TVs, which our grandmother really liked. The food was mouth-watering and presented as one might expect in a resort. Lots of fresh vegetables and healthily prepared fish and chicken prepared in interesting ways. The snacks were unique, too "“ with exotic cheeses and fruits. Anyone with a discerning palate would enjoy eating here. This facility was by far the best blend of modern convenience coupled with old-fashioned good service, comfort and beauty we've ever seen. They really did a great job conceiving of and creating this facility. It truly resembled a high-end spa or vacationing getaway hotel.

This place is bar none the best in Desert Hot Springs. The people there are so nice!
