"Amity Place took very good care of my father. He never complained about the place and the food. The staff was fantastic. The rooms were very nice. They were just the right size and they always kept cleaning. The staff always took care of him. Even when he was bedridden, they made sure he was shaved and made sure that he was cleaned. They just did a very good job. We took him on Valentine's Day and when we got there, they were having a little Valentine's Day party in the community area. They also had a St. Patty's Day party, and a Mother's day tea, and on Fridays, they have a church service in the community area that everybody can take part in. So, something is going on almost all the time."

"After my dad died, mom started to need increased help around the house. We had the time to really search in-depth for a facility close to us. We visited many of the recommended places. Each facility had a different price structure but once we realized that all the business models end up being the same monetary investment after a few years, we decided to base our choice on where mom felt most at home. It was obvious to us that The Villa at Douglassville was that place. She felt welcomed and comfortable. She really liked their packed activity schedule, the character of the building and she immediately clicked with the staff. Mom lived in Independent Living for four years; she took part in a multitude of activities and outings and developed personal relationships with many staff and residents. I was always welcomed when I visited and found her to be getting the best care available. This year she transitioned to Personal Care where she continues to get great care."

"My friend moved into Penn Assisted Care. It was a good match for him. It wasn't a hard process at all. The staff members are very helpful. They take the time to address any situations that need to be addressed. They're very professional. My friend likes the food. They have day rooms and people interact with each other. It's a pleasant setting and very personal."

"The manager at Celebration Villa of Exeter was wonderful. She took me around and showed me everything. She sent me a little video of what we had seen that day. My husband had a chance to see the place and we looked at two different types of rooms that were wonderful. It was a clean place. It was friendly. There was a nursing staff 24/7 and that was important to me. It was also in a nice setting where there was some greenery around. It wasn't just like a brick-and-mortar type thing. Every room had a nice view of something that was green and there was a walking spot to go all the way around the buildings so that you could get some exercise, too. The facility was very nice. It reminded me of a New England inn. It had a central fireplace with rooms radiating from it that were kind of glassed-in so you could see in. There was a TV room, a library, a cafeteria area, and a dining hall."

"We chose Columbia Cottage Collegeville for mom because it's a small community, and the caregiver to resident ratio is favorable. They offer a variety of activities and services, and the location was also beneficial. They had 10 levels of care from independent living all the way through to skilled nursing. It is great because she can age in place, and the staff has been amazing. They have three different sized rooms. My mom is in a 312 square foot room (which doesn't sound like much), but it is perfect for a single person. There's a full bathroom with a walk-In shower and pull cords by the bed and in the bathroom for assistance. There are three different sized rooms. They're generally on a wait list, but we happen to call them at a good time. They have one available. It's really like a big home. They have a living room, a TV area, dining room, and kitchen (which is all open for the residents to use as they like). They also have a hair salon onsite, as well as a physical therapy area. They have therapists that come in several times a week and a hairdresser that's there two days a week. They also have a nurse on-staff 24 hours a day, and they're great. If there's any medical assistance needed, they're there. They have various activities like arts and crafts, games, bingo, and movie night. They also have a vehicle, so they can do scheduled transportation to doctor's appointments. There are two courtyards inside the building, so residents can go outside and enjoy them without the risk of anybody wandering off. She likes the food so far."

"The Willow was wonderful. The host that took me around was great. It was very clean. The atmosphere was nice. I liked everything about it. The rooms were very clean. They were a little small but that's normal. I was impressed by how clean it was. It was a one-bedroom, and it was right near the dining area. For activities they were doing bingo. It was nice. It was a good atmosphere."

"I placed my mother in Laurel Pointe Senior Living for a couple of days. They had an opening, and it's very close. It's like a mile away from my house. They're not a corporate-type of place. They are very nice. They came and moved all her stuff personally. They've been very good. It's nice, clean, and quiet. The residents are well taken care of. All of them are nice. It's a very comfortable place to be. The food is not the greatest, but it's a senior living, so you have to get used to it. Everybody there is very knowledgeable, but they could be a little faster in their response times and stuff like that. Everything is very good and very up to date. The electricity is up to date. Call bell systems are up to date. All of that is fairly good, except for their internet system. Their wireless could be upgraded, but other than that, everything else is pretty good. They had group activities. They had a talk session with Mom because she had a stroke, and they were just discussing different things. Also, she likes to crochet, and they were trying to help her bring back and start crocheting again, stuff like that. Compared to the other places I've had mom, they're very good so far, and price-wise, it is very good. They're very affordable for what they do."

"The Heritage of Green Hills was so active. It was Halloween and they were having a Halloween party. They were really busy. It's a busy place. But you have to buy into that, and I didn't want to do that. It was nice though. The rooms were very clean and very neat. The size of the room was perfect. They had a buffet for dining, but I don't know if it's always a buffet. They have a huge indoor pool and a beauty salon. They have everything there, and the place is huge."

"Our second choice for my parents would be the Atrium of Allentown. The marketing sales team was good there. They were super helpful. It's a newer facility, so the building is nice. They have a more active memory care facility. Every time we went to visit there, there was always a large group of people doing activities together. The activities there were more robust than what was going on at the other place. They had a lot of onsite services available, too. It's a large rectangle. There's a courtyard for memory care that's accessible for residents. They have a spot where they can go. The tour experience was great. They were very accommodating. It was very good. The staff who gave the tour was great, too."

"Everyone at The Villa St. Elizabeth seemed to be very happy. I met one of the aides who helped me find the tour director. The tour director showed me all around, and she was very good, answered all my questions, gave me information about cost and what I needed to do, the next steps, those kinds of things. They have a library. They also have quite a bit of acreage outdoor spaces, and they have some buildings where people have their apartments. Then they own another mansion that is their dementia care unit. It is a very old mansion, and they've kept a lot of the antiques. Everything was clean."

"My sister moved up to Phoebe Richland Community. It was very welcoming. They gave her all the physical therapy she could handle, which was great. She had physical therapy almost every day and occupational therapy almost every day when she got there. She still gets it quite frequently. The staff is very nice. She enjoys the other residents there. She says she has a wonderful time getting to know them and they're very caring also. I was there one Saturday when the director himself was helping someone move into their memory care area. He was moving the clothing and stuff in himself on a Saturday. They're just delightful. There's an exercise class of some kind every morning, wheelchair volleyball, chair, or tai-chi. There's at least one activity every morning and one or two activities every afternoon. Every day I call or when I talk to my sister, she'll say, "Oh yes, we had an exercise this morning." It's a smaller place, so they can't offer the diversity of activities that a larger facility might offer. The assisted living has a beautiful lounge area when you walk in. The dining room is lovely. You couldn't ask for anything better. I get no complaints from my sister except there's no salt, but she can bring some herself. That's for health reasons. I saw two small library reading areas, a game room, a big lounge, and a dining room. She's in a temporary room right now because there were no rooms available, so it's a little small but very nice and furnished. It has a dresser, a wardrobe, a chair, a bed, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom that's handicapped accessible. It is less expensive than others for definitely something better. Their staff is especially caring. This place is much more consistent with their staffing, which means the staff gets to know their people better."

"My husband has been a resident at Eagleview Landing since June of 2023. We (all of our family and even our friends) are so pleased with the care, compassion, knowledge and friendliness of everyone at this facility. They made his adjustment a breeze. Even his neurologist commented on how well he adjusted (and I feel it because of the care he gets everyday!) Michele G. is your initial contact. Michele does an outstanding job explaining what to expect but, most importantly once you are there she still follows up to make sure your expectations are being met. You will find everyone from General Manager, Business Office, Front Desk Team, Nurses, Caregivers, Therapy team , Kitchen, Activities Coordinators, Cleaning Crew, and Maintenance Crew are always accessible and willing to help if you need anything! The Bayada Therapy team does an outstanding job. Seniority Health also takes great care of the residents. The "amenities" are great. No need to take your love one or yourself out for hairdresser, nail, Dr. Dentist and Podiatry. The food service is amazing. Great selection of meals for residents and each plate is made to order. Impressive!! Along with the great care. The facility itself is beautiful and well maintained. Very clean and does NOT smell. I have had family and friends tell me they have never seen a Long Term Care Facility so nice with so many pleasant and friendly employees. THANK YOU to everyone at Eagleview Landing for all you do!!"
