Some rooms in SGII come with their own private bathrooms. The employees are friendly, and look to the residents as family, rather than employer. Employees work with families to create the best living conditions for their loved ones. Medication is also kept and distributed for the residents. All employees go through extensive training before working alone in the homes. Overall, these homes are a great option for your loved ones. "

"Takes too long for help to respond when senior pushes help button … can take them an hour to hour and a half to respond to someone that has to use the bathroom !! No one that pays almost $5,000 a month should ever pee their pants there … unacceptable! Some of the workers are pretty good … some not so much … seem to be understaffed and under qualified. The building is very nice and rooms pretty good … too bad the staffing and care doesn’t match: "

"We put my dad in assisted living at Turning Brook. My goal was to bring him down closer to me, but because of his failing health, we lost him in Alpena. It was a very nice facility. They were very informative, very caring, and very attentive to my father. They're also very clean. They were perfect. Even though my father did not participate, there was a host of activities there. I didn't really pay attention to them, but they made sure they celebrated every holiday and they made sure that all residents participated if they could."

"My brother is at The Brook of Rogers City. He has been there for five months now. He seems to be happy there. He has a catheter that he couldn't take care of. He has no idea what to do with it and neither do the rest of us, so he is there for that. It's close to family. It's very well kept up. All the staff seem nice and concerned. I had dinner with my brother. We had fish that night and it was very well done."
