My friend is a resident at Baxter Retirement and is starting his 3rd year there. He loves the food and the staff. I visited all the other facilities in the area and while the others may look newer, Baxter Retirement is one of the best kept secrets in the Twin Lakes area.

Everyone was very nice at Baxter Retirement, but the food was very repetitive and looked more like a nursing home. Also, it smelled in some areas. The woman who ran it did the cooking sometimes. She was great and knew everyone by name. They had a library, games in the dining room, singers coming in once a week, transportation to the doctor if you need it, and movie nights.

My cousin has been at Baxter Retirement since the end of August. It seems that they have activities going on there, but he is not interested in those. The people are extremely caring and very nice, and the place is clean, but the building is a little older.
