Make sure guardianship and POA are resolved outside of facilities. They are not equipped to handle or willing to mediate with family. Even for 6k a month! Social work is work. Do better. Don't use deception with dementia patients. It creates more anxiety and trust breaks down. They are so fragile and frightened. Do better. Locking folks in a hall without access to nature and community hastens death. Shame on us!

Village Spring is very clean and nice with no smell. My father has only been there a week.

My mother spent 5 weeks in this facility. She went in walking and talking. She came out with VRE, C-dif, urinary tract infection, dehydration, fractured wrist, and wrist drop. This facility hired a person I reported several years ago as an abuser at another facility. I witnessed this male CNA throw a man around on a bed and turn the lights on and off in a partially blind woman's room to scare her. It annoyed nursing staff that I wanted to be involved in Mom's care. They were giving her the wrong dose of Coumadin. She is a diabetic and they were giving her sugar and had her on a regular diet. Avoid this facility like the plague. A pretty new facility cannot change lazy uncaring staff and poor reputation.
