I think when agencies come out to do the evaluation and talk with the clients, they need to bring the person that's going to be taking care of the client. They need to sit both individuals down and explain to them what they're supposed to do. So when the caregiver comes in, she automatically knows what she's supposed to do and don't have to be told. They need to know what they're allowed to cook for the patient and that they'll do light housekeeping.
A lot of times the girls come in and they got nothing to do. They come in with phones and just sit around and work that phone all day. There was one nice young lady, she help out any way she can, but she loves her telephone. Some girls don't even know where to go to the grocery store, they don't know how to cook, and the housekeeping part needs to be explained. But one lady came out and she's really good and she understands.

I am satisfied with the service I am getting from them. I'm getting help for my husband who has Alzheimer's. Right now, he doesn't need a lot of help so they do what I want or need them to do. They're like home aides and help us with the household chores. They're very helpful people. I'm satisfied with their service. They help me take care of my husband if I need them but right now he doesn't need much help. It took them maybe a month or a month and a half before I got the aides. It's good that I do not have to pay this agency because I got them from the Aging of Memphis Tennessee.
