While searching for a home care agency for my ailing father I came across Total Care . My father didnt need any drastic care only help with routine day to day care. Total Care initially said that they would send over an aide at 8am until noon. On the first day the aid didnt show up until after 930. The aid was not to blame however it seems her manager in order to cut back on staffing hours had decided to shave back on employee hours but bill the insurance companies for the full 4 hours. Also the staff was poorly trained and often attempted to reuse disposable medical items. When questioned about the reuse of disposables the office manager informed me that it was a standard practice and all agencies do the same thing. Total Care has apparently been the focus of several OSHA complaints and investigations. Luckily we were able to find another Home Care agency for my father before any serious damage was done. Total Care does not provide the most basic of competent Senior Home care. Even after all the violations and fraud Total care continues to operate.
