Interim provides in-home non-medical support for my 89 & 93 year old parents. They help them start their day, facilitate bathroom calls and provide a continuous steady arm for unsteady people. While they do not cook or prepare food, they have been aware of food and supplies in the home and have been a help for me by keeping a grocery list that I fill during my visits. They also answer the telephone. This is a big help since my parents are hard of hearing. I can get messages to them and check on their day. They have been very flexible and are now providing support 24 hrs/day as my parents prepare to transition to assisted living. The aids have been allowed to drive to doctor's appointments. This has been a big help as they have many and I can't get to them all. The restrictions are that driving is approved by the agency on a cases by case and aid by aid basis and it must be in the patient's car. Still very helpful. I've been pleased with the level of concern that the aids have provided. They spend a lot of time just being there. They have interacted with my parents and provided some companionship for people whose limitations make them nearly shut ins. This level of service can be expensive as the hours add up. We have benefitted from good long term care and in-home care insurance. It's probably a good thing for anyone planning to get old. I would definitely use them again or refer them to others.

The caregivers of Interim HealthCare were good. We have no problem with them. They are alright. She is taking care of my wife who is wheelchair bound. She helps her go to the bathroom, helps put her to bed, and watches her. She is here four hours a day, and we been using them for almost three months. We get different caregivers, and you got to tell them what to do most of the time. We don't get the same one all the time. Of course we live way out, but they could probably get here on time. Also, I could use probably a couple of more hours a day.
