The Visiting Angels in-home care is excellent. They provide non-medical services. They can tell you when the pills are due, but they don't administer them. They don't administer PT, but they could make sure that the patient does their physical therapy with information that's left behind from PT. They could incorporate those. I don't have anything bad to say about them because they're really good. They give me a comforting feeling. It's only been a week since we had them for my husband. They give the patient's spouse a respite by being there. They can prepare light meals and do light housekeeping. Basically, there is a companion for my husband. They help him with bathing, dressing, and things like that. They have capabilities to please and monitor. They also take note of the notes I left with the homemaker. I also get ideas, helpful hints, and resources from them as well.

It's necessary for us! The client is 100 years old and they help her with cooking, bathing, dressing, everything. They're always there for us, and they're very responsive. They can also get replacements pretty easily if a caregiver is sick.

The caregivers make my life easier by taking care of my loved one 24/7. I was doing that on my own, so it is definitely helping me. There is a new policy that they are not allowed to do anything for me only for my caregiver. We had an emergency with a colostomy, and the owner did not call me to check up on me. The team of caregivers are exceptional and that is only reason I am with the agency. The way they overcharge us is horrible. I don't like anyone in the office, and they treat me and talk to me in a horrible way.

They seem to be monitoring the caregiver that comes to the house, and she seems to be really good. My wife likes her. I have one issue. My issue is that I have to give them a seven-day notice if something changes, unless it is an emergency, about someone who is coming.

I hired Visiting Angels Gilford and my experience working with the caregiver I have now is great. They're helping me in straightening out the house, they've been doing some laundry for me, they help run errands, and they take me to my appointments. The caregiver is great and he puts in more than he has to. Last week I went to get wound care, and he sent me over to the hospital and made sure everything was alright before he decided to leave. Instead of just leaving, he stayed there.

I have so many pans in the fryer, so that makes it a little difficult. I have good days and bad days. On the bad days, it is hard to get anything accomplished. Right now, I don't have an problems. I have one person that comes twice a week, and that is working out better than having two different people. The one that I have has a vehicle that I can step up into.
