They've helped by taking her shopping, doing laundry, and being able to help out, and they do extra things with us, it's nice. I like that they are quick to respond and have been doing really good at getting someone to cover while her usually caregiver recovers from a car accident.

What I'm finding is that one person I have come in, their care is okay, but I have the feeling she would rather be elsewhere. The other person is good with the care but also seems to enjoy the work as well. She has been very helpful, and her name is Rachel. She goes beyond taking care of me but also running errands. It depends on the individual. Some care has been good, and some, I've had people I can't have working with me.

My family worked with Home Helpers for a period of one year, from April 2017-18, when we retained their services to care for our father, who was in the latter stages of Parkinson's Disease. I cannot say enough about them; from the first day until the last (our father passed away in April), the owner, her management team and all caregivers were terrific to work with. We utilized a large group of caregivers, who provided everything from meal prep and feeding to hygiene needs, transfers to/from bed to wheelchair, administration of meds, walking and getting fresh air, and companionship. The staff was uniformly courteous and respectful, caring and attentive, always prompt, honest and detail-oriented. They all spoke English (which was a concern for my father and his wife, both hard of hearing), and they were engaged and talkative with my father but gave the family privacy and space when it was needed. The agency bent over backwards to accommodate our needs and sometimes-last-minute schedule changes, and they worked very well with the hospice team, which was reassuring to us. They provided the best-fit caregivers for our father. Every one of them was kind and considerate. We were never worried when we knew a Home Helpers caregiver was with our father; they were true professionals and a God-send to our family. Home Helpers began with care about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and ultimately were there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The caregivers and the Home Helpers management team became like extended family. Now that our father has passed, we miss them all! Home Helpers was a true partner with my family in providing the best possible care for our father during his final journey. They made sure he was comfortable, safe and well-cared-for. We will never be able to thank them enough, and I recommend them without hesitation.

Home Helpers was really good. They were there to answer the phone, and they called back right away. The people were very dependable. I had them for the last few weeks my father lived, and I had them for at least two weeks. Their supervisors were very good and always on top of everything. They were there to answer questions and inform you of everything that they were going to do. I like them. They had home health aides, nurses, and people who would actually do house cleaning. They were there to do what you wanted them to do, and even when my father was passing away and they came in, if there wasn't much for them to do, they said they would actually also do light house cleaning and maybe a little shopping.

Home Helpers caregivers is very nice and pleasant to have around, however, some of them are better than others. We have our caregivers over the weekend, and they have been excellent. However, some of our caregivers seem to use their Iphones a lot. As soon as they have a break, they are on their phones a lot. I don't mind if they use them briefly, but that doesn't happen.
