I called up Desert Valley Hospital and went in to their social services to find out who they recommend because everybody else's recommendation was so expensive. When they found out that my mother is a widow of a veteran, they directed me on to Shirell's Home Care who works with the VA a lot. Shirell's Home Care was great. I actually interviewed a lot. I had three different groups come in to take care of my mother for two or three days. Shirell's Home Care is the one I stayed with until my mother was no longer able to stay at home. The caregiver's work ethic was wonderful. We always worked with one person, and she was fabulous. I didn't have any problems with management. They actually sent me two people to interview, and both of them were good. We chose one because her personality jelled with my mother. It was good, and I had no problems with that company at all. I haven't recommended them yet, but if someone asks me I certainly would. They are excellent.
