This place is like a puppy mill of rehab centers. My expectations of a rehab facility start low and it only got worse in this facility. Mom contracted norovirus and ended up at this place because they would take her. The smells are putrid so make sure you mask up because this is a petri dish of a place. If I could body wash myself in sanitizer I would before and after. The administrators should be forced to eat at least one meal a week of what the kitchen is serving. I have never seen uncooked, gray food in my life. Everybody who works there says that the food is disgusting and trust me I would not eat it. I had to bring in food for Mom that was palatable so she could try to regain her strength. She waits over an hour to get just a bed pan and many times they just don't show up for calls. It is disgusting that a place treats the elderly worse than our animals.

My grandfather was at this facility for less then 3 weeks for some rehab, while he was there we were not informed about his progress most of the time he was there. When we would call to get an update the nurse manager was always to busy to return phone calls or she would call and say she is waiting for an update from therapy ans will call us back and she wouldn't. While he was there he developed 2 bedsores one that has opened up, when he was discharged we got no instructions on how to take care of the open wound, no supplies, nothing. After we brought him home we had to call the facility to find out when he had his meds last, ate last, and an update of his condition. They were just pushing him out the door when we picked him up no communication at all. I would not recommend this facility for your love ones.

My father lived in Willow Crest. This place was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. They were understaffed and the staff they did have was not caring or friendly. It was poorly run by poor management. My father had multiple falls while he was there due to people not watching. They screwed up his medications. My father didn’t go to any activities because they never asked him nor encouraged it. Their housekeeping was not good, either. The room had a bed, two nightstands, an armoire, a TV stand with a television, and a bathroom, and the dining room was fine. However, they need to improve on everything. I can’t repeat enough how poorly that place was managed and run. There wasn't anyone you could go to with complaints, so nothing was resolved.

I have been to Willowcrest several times to visit a family friend. She has always appeared to be well cared for and in good spirits. Her room and the common areas that I have seen have always been very clean and in good repair. The staff members that I have interacted with seem very friendly and helpful.The residents seem to get along well and really enjoy each others company. I often see people there playing games together and enjoying themselves. Although I have not eaten there myself, I have been told that the food is quite good and that the residents have several meal choices to choose from. They also will sometimes offer outings and day trips available to the residents whose health will allow them to take part in such things. Overall Willowcrest appears to be a rather nice facility. If and or when the time comes, it would be a place I would feel comfortable placing a family member.
