My mother has been in Anita's Gardens Of Grafton for a month now. When we walked through, it was so much better than the other place where she came from. It was bright and well-lit. They had music of her genre playing in one of the community rooms. They had a TV that had the old type of Porter Wagner, Dolly Parton sing-along, and that kind of stuff that was playing in the background. They have fireplaces lit. The place has a sunroom where she can walk in, and it's warmer in there. There is a lot of sun, and it is closed from the outside, so she doesn't have to be outside for that. It's all on one floor. There is a view of the backyard from her window in her room. There is wildlife in the backyard, like squirrels and deer. A deer came up to one of the windows! There are things for them to do. They are very, very informative. They call me and tell me about problems and issues, like whether she's cooperative or not. I'm very well informed. They encourage them to come out into the community area with other people of their age and status. They have bingo, they do activities, and they have kids from Sunday school or something that made cards for Valentine's Day. Occasionally, people can come through. My niece brought her dog to visit. My mother knows this dog. It's a very, very good dog. So that was a bright spot. I haven't eaten any food, but my mother is satisfied with the quality, the quantity, and the variety.
