"Kettle Moraine Gardens is a brand-new place. It's a nice facility. The rooms are a little bit bigger than the other two that we toured. The staff was outstanding, and it helped that she has family members that are also there. They have a good activity program that we looked into. It seems that they are a little bit more engaging than the other two places that we've toured. We looked at their activity schedule, and it seemed like they were playing cards and bingo. It was just overall welcoming and homey. The staff members were caring, asked a lot of good questions about my mom, and were generally concerned. They have gardens that you can work with later in the year. They have a spa, which my mom likes."

"We liked The Arboretum Senior Living. It seemed very nice. The man who showed us around was really helpful. The only thing that we didn't like about it for my dad was that it would require a lot of walking from his room. The hallways are very long, and my dad's not super good at walking. There's nowhere to stop and rest in the hallway. He would have to ride in a wheelchair every time he wanted to go down to eat. And I feel like he's going to just say, "I'm not going to eat that meal." So he's going to skip it because it's too far away. The lobby and the dining room were like a hotel. There was someone playing piano in the lobby, and everybody who lived there seemed happy. They're all sitting around, drinking, or snacking. For other people who don't have a problem with walking, I could see it would be a very nice place. They are redoing some of their rooms. I wasn't pleased with some of the rooms that we saw. There wasn't a lot of counter space in the bathroom. The cabinets and stuff kind of looked older. But the rooms were very big, so that was nice."
