"The changes at Laurel place over the last year have been astonishing. My mom has been there for a couple years now and the staff and residents just seem so much happier. The food is excellent, my mom hardly ever has a bad thing to say about that! There are great activities with a fun outgoing activity director but the thing I think that has most improved is over feel of the building, it more fun and lively and the passion shows from all staff members. I wouldn't have my mom any where else! "

"Crestwood wasn't quite as modern. The facilities were older and might be not quite as nice, but they seemed to have adequate staff. They seemed very professional and on top of things. His room was clean but not as nice as the other one he stayed in. The food seemed good, and my father seemed to enjoy his stay there also. However, it was a lot farther for me to drive, and it would be better if they could make the rooms a little nicer, more cheery and home-like. "

"The staff were caring and positive, sincerely concerned with the well-being of their clients and residents both while staying at the Life Care Center and their future health and well-being. The facility itself is fairly new, clean, and well-maintained. Although I did not eat there, the food looked and smelled good. There is a cafeteria for residents who are ambulatory. Meals are served in resident's rooms for those who cannot or do not want to eat in the cafeteria. My mother was treated with friendly courtesy and respect. The staff creates a variety of events for long-term residents, I saw a musical performance put on by several of the residents during my visit there. Event staff create events open to residents' family members, and send out reminder notices to families of events, encouraging them to participate. The facility is secure, with visitor sign-in/sign-out, very flexible visiting hours, and staff closely monitors the location and condition of residents. "

"We really liked Summer Hill, and if it is possible for my mom to come here, we would come here. All of the apartments were spacious, and it was a beautiful facility. The staff was the best; they were just really about answering our questions and being a problem solver. They have all sorts of activities not just for their seniors. They have a support group for the residents who had memory issues. "
