Golden Living Center smelled like fecal matter. The staff was attentive to my needs and my concerns. There weren't any private rooms available, but the shared rooms were a normal size. The rehab room stood out to me.

I actually call this facility Battlefield Park Convalescent Center. While my grandmother was there I visited this facility over a course of three years. The only reason why I gave it three stars was because it was plentiful for my grandmother to do there. I didn't like the nurses overall although my grandmother didn't complain I heard how harsh they've spoken to other patients. I think the food was awful as well, I spent many of trips going up there to take her food. The nursing home was very clean which is a extra star in my book. The nurses made sure that the patients rooms was absolutely spotless; however since my grandmother had no legs and couldn't use the bathroom on her own there were time I came to visit and she wasn't changed prior to me coming, and when I would ask her did she call someone she would tell me yes but nobody ever came. The activities they had for her however; was out of this world. It somehow warms my heart to see elderly people acting so youthful and having a good time. My grandmother enjoyed playing bingo and I must admit so did I, it was so much fun. They also had a big room which I call the family room, because that's where the family would meet and greet. I would say the good things actually outweighed the bad and the reason for this is because my grandmother never complained and she was a very outspoken woman.
