"I am the Care Provider for an 82 year old woman with dementia. She has been a friend of our families for 43 years, and has come to live with us. We started taking her a couple days a week to the Daycare facility at Lucy Corr and can't speak more highly of the entire facility from the Dana that heads the staff, to the other woman that work there and treat these individuals as their own loved ones. The keep them stimulated with various activities, and events. I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone that wants to have a little help with their loved ones during the day, but aren't ready to entertain the idea of a full time facility! "My Mother inlaw (Hilda M.) s few years ago went there Monday -Friday she really enjoyed it there, the Staff was great ,really did a lot for her good activities, she looked participating in arts and crafts, the staff was so attentive to her couldn't ask for a better place. I would highly recommend this place. Unfortunately February 5th Hilda M. passed away."

"My wife goes to Alternative Adult Care during the day, and in the evening, she has a nurse that stays with her until I get home. We have been doing that for several months, and it is working pretty well. She has been going there since December and likes the people. In her mind, she is helping them. She does not call it as a daycare center in the morning when I take her. She calls it "going to work." As long as she feels that way about it, I want to keep her in an environment like that because she feels like she’s a big contribution. The staff is great and really care about the people they are taking care of and treat them like family. Everybody is like family there. They look forward to seeing her each morning and greet her at the door. They make a big fuss over her and hug her. The food there is good. I actually eat there myself. It is a huge building with TVs all over the place and different activities. There are some veterans who talk about their war exploits and she listens to that sometimes. There are ladies who get them to their rest rooms and take care of any hygiene needs that they may have. I bring her there Mondays to Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. In the afternoon, they have their activity bus and bring her right to the front door, at which time I have a nurse who comes to see her and stays with her. I will highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a daycare center that is very caring and very attentive to the individuals. She loves them. They are hugging her all the time and consistantly give you a monthly update on how she is doing. The folks there are just fantastic. I can’t speak in praises any higher. "

"Hanover seemed to be nice. The staff seemed fine. They served a hot meal and snacks during the day. They had a lot of activities and played bingo, music, and danced. They had rooms for activities and a place outside where they can sit."
