Really enjoyed my dad being at the facility. I rested easy knowing he was cared for. Hopefully, no other relatives will need nursing care BUT if they do, we will be coming back to Carrington Place.

I will never allow my mother there again .She was there for respite care.I go to check on her, and I notice she has no pillow. I was told they are short on pillows I asked why we wasn't informed of this that we could had brought hers.. They didn't respond to my question. also they have lost her clothes no call back from them to let us know anything .They let her go 5 days without changing her .

I definitely would not recommend this place for either short term or long term care. Rooms are small and only semi-private, food is bad, nursing staff is below average despite having a lot of staff around.

They have some awesome and dedicated cooks there. They take pride in what they put on your plate. They also have hard working nurses that make sure their residents are taken care of and have what they need. Highly recommend!

This place is horrible. Dirty and outdated. They don’t change the sheets or clean the rooms. Care is minimal. Therapy is a joke. Everyone in a management position is just as lazy and incompetent as the direct care staff. CNAs and nurses sit at the nurses station all day and night talking to each other and looking at their phones. When they do interact with residents it’s obvious they don’t care. Clothes go missing, meds aren’t given on time, the residents are neglected and the DON and administrator are never around, much less supervising. The food is horrible. My loved one went for short term rehab and actually declined a whole lot instead of improving. Would never recommend to anyone!! Avoid this place

The rooms are dirty. The nursing staff spends more time outside smoking and the employees uniforms are so nasty. The pt and it are great professional and helpful. Never have I ever been made to feel I was useless and that they did not want to help me at all. The food is horrible. The room where they bathe the patients they run them through like cattle. They brought a machine in my room to weigh me. The scales was covered in grease and grime. No cleaning was done! Hello Covid-19. Cleaning should be done. First night mattress was so bad I had to sit up in chair to sleep. They changed mattress next day but no better. I had back surgery and from not being able to get comfortable my back was getting worse. Thie condition s is the motivation for me to ask to leave. The place needs to be inspected. At night all night the staff was at stations laughing and carrying on. Never never again

The facility is very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and compassionate. Some of the care providers still remember my grandmother when they see her in town. The atmosphere was positive, and she seemed very happy there. Even my children were comfortable visiting her, which they have not been at times in other assisted living facilities. Of course, Carrington Place has the same negatives that are unavoidable - somewhat "sterile" seeming (always smells like commercial cleaning products!) and it can be upsetting to see people who seem lonely or depressed and/or are in pain, but overall, it was far less gloomy than many such homes I have visited. We hope that she will not require permanent assisted living due to severe health problems, but if that were to happen, Carrington Place (or one of their affiliated facilities that would be more suitable to her needs) is one of very few that we would consider.
