Mom has been here now for a year and we are even more pleased with how she is doing. She is in the secure Memory Care unit and the staff is wonderful. She is always clean and happy. Everyone truly feels like family. She loves the many activities and especially the secure courtyard. We are always welcome to visit at any time. Mom is with people who are all like her…they have Dementia. She doesn’t feel different and that means a lot.

I was able to visit Heritage Hall Blackstone for my mother. The nursing home was OK, and the nurses seemed to be very well. I had to go through the dementia ward, and that is a depressing thing, but that is true anywhere you go. I was well-pleased as it was clean, and everything seemed to be in order. The dementia part was more like an institution or more like a hospital. The lady that welcomed us in was really nice.

My wife is at Heritage Hall. I have been immensely pleased with the service and attention she is receiving. They are doing the standard rehab, with walking, and exercises. She has engaged in their Bingo games. They are monitoring her closely for sugar levels and blood pressure. I have not seen a single person who worked with her that I wasn't pleased with. It happened to be one of the lowest priced facilities I surveyed.

My elderly cousin stayed at this facility. When my family initially looked for a nursing home for him to stay, they found that this was one of the best in the area. The facility was always clean. The staff were very friendly - from management to the cafeteria workers to the ladies at the front desk. The head nurse at the time was excellent and very involved in my cousins care. Of course, to an extent, you get out of a nursing home experience what you put into it. I made a great effort to make sure the staff did everything they should have been doing to care for my cousin as his health declined, and I was given more responsibility to care for him. The nurses were very responsive and never got agitated with me. They were patient and very supportive. The cnas and lpns also had a good relationship with my cousin, joking around with him. There were times when it seemed as though the facility was a little short staffed with cna's, and on some days it seemed like they couldn't take as much time when it came to feeding or caring for a very ill resident. At least that's what I found with my cousin but I know that many nursing homes are short staffed, some more than others. Overall my cousin was well cared for at this facility and I would highly recommend it.
