This place is dirty. Personnel extremely rude and not willing to help on the basic needs of a patient. The environment is unhealthy and welcoming. Please do jot go to this rehabilitation center or allow your love ones to go.

Horrible place to be at they don’t communicate and the staff don’t care about the fellow residents they will let them suffer instead of helping them the rooms were disgusting and they left diapers in the trash and let it stink up the rooms and when I tried to tell them they didn’t even pay attention to me and the managers are what’s making this building worse they have to shut this place down immediately !!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Please be aware of this place it's not at all being run professionally and they don't seem to care for my uncle health and safety in recovery from his brain surgery. The reason why I feel this way is due to what I witness with my uncle care. My uncle have staples in his head since the time he was admitted in September 2, 2017 up to now which is October 30, 2017. The doctor or nurses at Cherrydale did not want to remove the staples or show concern about removing the staples. My uncle could not get help with transportation back and forth to his doctors appointment. I didn't get advice about afforable transportation from the help of Cherrydale staff including administrator, director of nursing, unit mananger nurse, his nurses and social worker. He end up missing two important doctor's appointment. Then my uncle fell out of bed and I didn't received a phone call and the nurse didn't call the ambulance in which he was a TBI patients. His wife and I requested them to call the ambulance, when I saw the cut and knot above right eye the same side he had his surgery on and he acknowledge he was in pain. The next social worker made it difficult and frustrating to the family in having him discharge at home without the proper set up care. I wish I never put him in this place because they failed him tremendously in taking care of him.

The main factor for choosing Cherrydale Health Care Center for my mother-in-law was they had a Medicaid bed, and then the other part was that they are very caring about the patients there. They're not very quick with responding when she has to go to the bathroom. They need to improve on response time, and they don't have a lot of activities for the seniors. It's just the room, living room, and the eating area. They'll do Bingo but my mother-in-law doesn't do that, and they do cards. They should do more so they're using their hands and muscles, maybe some creative art stuff.

I visited this facility

I have been to cherry dale before and it was always a very welcoming place. However, I visited again recently and when I walked in I was sure that I had walked into the wrong place. I had to walk back outside and make sure I was at the right address. The place had gone through a transformation. It was very clean and very organized. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My aunt and my mother both received care here over the past year. I am very satisfied that they did absolutely everything in their power to make us happy. So much care is required after a stroke, I could have never taken care of them and kept my job working for the school system. One knee surgery, one stroke, a lot of rehab later, two happy campers back at home.

Glad I'm out

I am/was a resident of this facility

Only a few of the staff are professional and caring. Most treat the residents with a lack of courtesy and respect. And they're lazy. I was told more than once that they were out of basic medical supplies (wipes? gauze?) just because the nurse or aide didn't want to go to the supply cabinet. Aides slam the meals down and run, often there's no silverware, and the truly unfortunate that can't feed themselves or raise themselves up are just out of luck. Then there's admissions and collection staff. They verified my insurance coverage before admission, yet as soon as I was admitted they tried to scare me saying I had to pay thousands of dollars in advance by cash, credit card or borrow it just to stay. The business mgr tried to force me to sign a separate contract. I would not recommend this place, it will be worse if you or your loved one aren't capable of seeing past their scams. I got out as soon as I could

I visited this facility

This place does not take care of your loved ones. My mother was left to lay in her waste. Also, she was given the wrong meds. Thankfully she noted it was not right. Then it happened again, right in front of me. The nurse thought my mother was the patient in the other bed. They don't even know bed A from bed B. Then, there were the flies on the food.... Go in. Take a look for yourself first. Do not send a loved one to this place!!!!! My 1 star is only because I had to give a star to rate this place. Negative stars to this place.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mom was recently here after having a hip replacement. She had therapy every day. The team worked hard to make sure she was comfortable. The nurses took much needed time explaining medication and making sure she was as pain free as possible. The dietician payed keen attention to her weight, as she was retaining fluid after the surgery. I recommend Cherrydale highly! They helped my mom walk again and get back home.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My friend is at Cherrydale Health Care Center. The place is filthy. There are bugs and roaches. Half the time they don't have him ready for dialysis, so he ends up going 45 to 50 minutes late, which makes me have to pay a transport. I have nothing good to say about them. The only time they start jumping is when I show up. This is a horrible place and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. On one occasion my friend fell out of bed, and his roommate had to get out of his bed and go get help because my friend laid there for 40 minutes. In terms of activities, there is no activity; my friend just lays in bed and watches TV.

I visited this facility

This place is disgusting. It's not that the home itself is extremely dirty, it's the fact that when I was walking through the hallway, I could hear several nurses loudly complaining about a patient who had used the bathroom on herself. They kept saying that they didn't get paid enough to change diapers a million times a day and that they felt like just leaving her in a wet diaper until the night shift showed up and they could take care of it. I was so angry when I left this place I could hardly stand it. Never send a loved one to this place.
