"Summerfield Retirement is very nice. It's very elegant, clean, and accessible. My mom has been there for a couple of years now. She was thinking that she might want to move closer to one of her daughters; but she's decided that she likes it, so she's staying there. The staff is excellent. Her room is very, very nice. It's a large two-bedroom apartment. The dining area is very nice and very elegant too. The food is wonderful. Then they have crafts. There are people that come in and do musical shows for them and church services. They have quite a few activities like that."

"What we liked most about our tour was that the rooms were very spacious and had a very homey feeling. We liked the feeling of the facility, and that's probably where we're going to put my sister. The staff member we met, I believe her name was Sarah, she did a wonderful job. She showed us everything, told us about all the different things that they do. It was a nice and clean facility, and Sarah was very knowledgeable. We just liked working with her. We met a few of the residents that told us how much they loved it. They have a lot of music and people that come in and entertain. We really like that. We like the idea that they have a recreation director or events director. I met her and she was very pleasant. They have games and they have just about everything that a person would want. They also have church services there; we like that."

"I have chosen Cove Point, and I have been here for two weeks now. The staff members here are really good. The food is good; it is typical. The layout is wonderful. I'm actually in an apartment, and it is amazing. I've checked out half a dozen other places, and this is the only place I have seen that has a washer and dryer in the room. They have bus rides, which is fun, and they have a really nice bingo game every Friday. The value for the money is the best that I have encountered so far. I'm saving over $1000 a month from where I was before."

"River Pointe Assisted Living is very elegant and very accommodating to families. It feels like home. It feels warm, comfortable, bright, and sunny. They're very personable and well-organized. It was more family oriented. They also had many amenities. During the time that I was there, there wasn't a whole lot going on."

"Lake Ridge is a lovely community and the people are very caring and patient. My mom has everything she needs and they make sure she comes down to meals. The only thing that we could possibly complain about is the noise at night because the aides tend to be chatty and my mom's hearing is just fine, so she complains about the noise level. Other than that, it really is a wonderful community. The rooms are good and my mom has the biggest one they have. It has four windows, two to the outside, and two into the foyer, so there's lots of light. It was also the only one with its own shower, which was really nice since it was important for my mother. The food wasn't great, but it was pretty good, and my mom hasn't complained about it. They have a lady there who cuts hair, and there are gobs of activities, which is a really good thing. The staff is really nice and we don't have any issues with them at all. I think it's great value for the money because it's not as expensive as other places, but it's almost as good."

"Spring Gardens Draper was a beautiful facility. It was very nice and I learned a lot of information that I didn't know before. The rooms were very nice. The woman I toured with was extremely helpful. She gave me a lot of information and she was very attentive. She listened well. I was impressed with their activities. They have a little art gallery thing where they have someone come in and teach people how to paint and stuff, and I was really impressed with that. They also had a sewing area where if people like to quilt, they could do that, so they had some really unique things to do. They just don't give transportation to the senior center that my friend is interested in."

"My husband moved to Valencia at Draper. They're taking care of him and giving him the medication when he needs it and all that kind of stuff. It's just worked out. They serve three meals a day. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a little courtyard in the memory care unit. It's small, but it's sufficient."

"They're only as good as the staff and they're only as good as the direct care staff in the facility. Whether medications are given or handed to the residents, whether or not they actually do that appropriately, and whether there's supervision by a nurse which is usually isn't there every day, I'm not sure that that's done really well. "

"It is very nice, it's very bright, and filled with light.The staff is very friendly and helpful. My parents are the first clients in the place. I think they have some kind of exercise room, and my experience with them has been very good. The dining room is spacious."

"My friend is here. It's a beautiful place, it's new, and she loves it. She is also close to her old friends, so she's really happy there. She's been there since February 3, and she's doing really, really well. She has a bedroom, a front room, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom. They have all kinds of activities during the day, like watching movies, playing bingo, and playing other games. They have church activities, too. She goes down every day to have her breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well. It's a great place."

"This is a small facility, sixteen resident capacity, and the facility itself is not overly beautiful or anything, but this facility has a lot of heart. I've rarely seen a facility that puts as much emphasis on family then this one does. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate family visits, even if they aren't at the best times. They also invite family to all the parties and get togethers and encourage family participation. I've never visited this facility without seeing at least two or three different residents with visitors at any given time, and they're always talking and laughing and generally just having a good time. I also always see children there visiting their grandparents or great grandparents. They literally just light the place up. "

"I visited Legacy House of South Jordan. It was similar to several of the other places I have visited. The one thing they had that was a little different was that they can do the medication in-house in independent living. They can store the medications there, and they can administer them. That was the only place I noticed that has that capability. Most of the places normally make you go outside or use an outside service to administer the medications. The Legacy can do it internally and store it right there. They also had a lot of activities, but I didn't participate in any. We just went in there and toured the units, and they were nice. They had a really nice area for entertainment like concerts, too. They had one going on when we were there. The place was fine, it just turned out my sister can't do independent living, and we had to look for another place."

"My father-in-law was at Legacy Retirement Residence of South Jordan. He loved it. It was a great place. They took good care of them. He's lived there for about three years. He was in independent living. They gave him a very safe, fun enjoyable place to live. The staff were very professional and very friendly. The building was clean. They took a great interest in their residents. They had lots of activities and he went on a lot of outings, and he enjoyed the bands that would come into play. He participated in those. They were great. They were awesome. I have eaten there, and the food was great. It was very good. We went to Thanksgiving, and it was great. Value for money is very good."
