"I am currently at Utah Valley Specialty Hospital for rehab. They check on me every once in a while. I have a call button if I need something. The staff was nice and polite. This is a specialty hospital for wounds, and they've been trained well. They serve three meals a day, and the food is very good."

"I moved into the Cascades at Orchard Park. They have people here that are on long-term stay and they have a wing for people that are on Medicaid. They're understaffed, which seems to be a problem in all the facilities I've been in. They just finished remodeling, so the rooms all looked very nice. They serve pretty huge food portions. It's more than I can eat. They have an activities director and they have a full calendar made out of two to three activities every day. The activities today are chair exercises, and they make candies for Halloween. They do crafts, bingo, and gratitude activities. The facility is up-to-date. It's close to the mountains. It's a pretty location."

"My experiences at the Lindon Care and Training Center have been was excellent. I actually have gone over there and helped out quite a few times. The staff was really cooperative and really cared about their patients. I saw quite a few staff there. There probably was about 1 staff member for every 3 or 4 patients. I actually have a friend who has worked there for some time now. He told me that he loves it. The patients all looked very happy and well-taken care of. In the meetings we had there were about 30 or 40 patients. The rooms and bathrooms and kitchens, basically everything both inside and outside, were all very clean. I also helped out when the Special Olympics came to town. Quite a few of the patients participated and you could tell that they enjoyed it. This facility really goes above and beyond to care for the patients and are very friendly with anybody who comes to visit and/or to give a helping hand. "

"My daughter and I picked The Peaks because it only has six beds, so it’s a comfortable and casual place for my husband to live. Their care is wonderful, and we’re thrilled with it. They are so loving and sweet and very nice to him. He’s an easy person to get along with because he doesn’t complain about pain, so he’s easy to care for. I was there when a lady was changing him, and I said, “Oh, I appreciate you so much,” and she said “we just love him here.” I can tell they do. He also feels loved there. He has to have physical therapy whether the therapist is in or out, and the staff ambulates him and keeps him walking. He’s there for that kind of exercise and care, and he is making progress. I think it’s hard to keep a community really clean but it’s well taken care of. He is being fed three times a day; he has to have everything pureed, and they do that for him. "

"My mother did rehab at Stonehenge of Orem for 24 days. The staff was good. The food looked fine. She was in a private room that was nice and big. They could put another bed in there. We went to one of their activities, and it was really nice."

"We were very happy with Orem Rehabilitation Center. It was very well equipped and very well facilitated. He loved it there. They kept dad right there and they did a wonderful job when he had double pneumonia. We are very pleased with the food and the atmosphere. He had C. diff so he was confined to his room and he couldn't go out to the rehab area anymore but they brought the equipment to him so he can still get the rehab, and so we were very happy with their services. It's a great rehab facility with lots of caring people there. "

"This is a small facility, with full occupation at 15 residents. Still, it has a certain zest to it. The facility isn't much to look at on the outside, but the inside is done up very nicely. That zest includes the residents as well, they seem very spry and active. I once witnessed a game they played with a staff member. It's that one where you try to keep the balloon from touching the ground. Well, the residents had these little paddles to hit the balloon with, and man were they having a good time. I think one of the gentleman there would have dived for the balloon if he could have moved that quickly. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff member seemed to have a good time too, laughing with the residents and teasing them. There was a good rapport going on. It's obvious that the staff care about the happiness of the residents. "

"Stonehenge of American Fork was nice. You could have your laundry done there, and they'd bring it to you. They have the dining room and, of course, they also had therapy if they needed therapy. The staff was really nice. They were really friendly. She was there for about a month, and she liked the people. The therapists were really cute with them. "

"I am at Aspen Ridge of Utah Valley. It's very classic in the design. It's European. They have the most gorgeous, huge pictures on the wall, e.g., Venice, pictures of Paris. The whole place is just beautiful. It has burgundies and greens and beautiful colors and nice lighting. It just really impacts you that it's a very well taken care of, well-attended place. The staff is amazing. They all do their jobs so well. They're very kind and helpful and you really don't feel like you're in a rehab. It's just nice to be able to rest when you need to. They've got all kinds of people that come in and help with various disciplines during the day. You get occupational therapy, physical therapy, nurses, doctors, and wound care, and everything that a high-quality rehab has. They are very on top of everybody's needs. It's a small place. I think it's only like 24 beds, but they take care of you. It's hard to get in there. I was really lucky to get in. I had talked to a number of people in my neighborhood who had been in here and they all just loved it and said it was wonderful, and I agree. They focus more on rehab. They're not focused on activities. They're focused on healing. They have a physical therapy area and a really nice dining room. The food is absolutely excellent. The chef even comes around with his beautiful menu. Every week he brings you the next menu. You get to look at it and you can make changes on anything that you want, and he will especially make it for you."

"i was admitted after a hip replacement from Utah Valley Hospital. i was there about 2 1/2 weeks in the rehab. i found the rooms great. Very friendly staff...I dont think there was anyone who i didnt want back caring for me! Call light wait time was good, I sat on the bed working my feet to get the blood flowing. Then the aide would come in and shadow me into the bathroom. I knew that for me to be released, i had to do what they asked me to do...loved the PT/OT dept. Their director has done a great job with this team.i saw him on the floor working with the patients and not just sitting in the office! Kutos to Jeremy for this! I loved going down to the group activites and making crafts! i just had home health here at my house and he said they did a great job for me and is going to bypass the Home Health and go into the Outpatient Physical Thearpy! Yay, go me!!!! i would recomment this place to anyone!"

"I volunteer at Provo Care Center almost every Sunday and my experience there has been just wonderful. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the residents always appear to be happy and well cared for. While volunteering at the Provo Care Center I usually get to interact with about fifteen of the residents and I get a chance to talk and visit with them. They tell me about some of the activities that they do during the week, the things that they've enjoyed, how the weather has been, and many of the good experiences that they have had. As far as I can tell this is a top notch nursing home with a friendly and experienced staff who take excellent care of the residents there. They keep the building a little warm for my tastes but all the residents seem to enjoy it and be very comfortable. Five stars! "

"Healthsouth Home Care was very clean, very friendly, and very helpful. It was a good place, and my mom liked it. The only complaint we have was the first night, they pureed everything for some reason, but after that it was great. She did both the physical therapy and the occupational therapy for five to seven days."

"The staff, particularly their director, was very kind. I enjoyed visiting Willow Wood with her. She was very thorough, and she talked to me about hospice. The only thing was that the rooms were quite small. I don't think my father would be able to bring his own TV, and I know that's important to him. It's a much older facility, but it was clean and nice. Their workers have been there for many years, so I know that they must like their jobs. Some of them have been there 9, 10, or even 17 years. They do have a dining hall, which is very small. They take them to places that they are interested in. They would find out from the residents what they're interested in, and then they would come up with excursions for them. They also have a garden there that they can work on. I wish the rooms could be bigger or that they could remodel and update. "

"My husband was in the hospital, and the social worker found Canyon Rim Care Center for me. They are very good with him. They are very sweet, and they are trying hard to find ways to comfort him. He is stage 7 Alzheimer's, so it is basically just comfort and all. I am not aware of their activities because he is not able to participate, but they are playing him some music and trying different things too. I would like them to clean his water glass more often. The place is completely locked. You can't even go from one floor to the other without a key. "
