U ask for resident room reviews & activities residents enjoy. People as a whole would live in less than favorable conditions if surrounded by peace, love & smiling spirits. What is a five star facility if one is surrounded by evil & unrest, not to mention lack of medical provisions & care they deserve & pay dearly for...NOT A FIVE STAR FACILITY!!! Residents r served undercooked food, raw meat & then chastised & belittled for complaining. Oh! There's too much wrong here & nothing being done on behalf of a people who have trusted this is an acceptable place to live out their final days on earth. IT'S NOT a good place far ANYTHING!

My husband was moved here at the end of January 2016 he has already been to the hospital twice one due from another stroke that I caught not them 2nd time was dehydrated un response which I found him like this the worse UTI he has ever had. They would forget to feed him and bath him he lost so mu h weight. The foid not to good either. This place is now called The Lakes of Texas City it's the place I do not recommend for your love one please trust me on this. Ocean view and Gulf health care is a little worse but this one right there.

At first this was a good place with nice people. Lots of activities. They took really good care of mom even though she couldn't do to much due to MS. She was meeting people (nurses) and I met people. We really thought this was going to work out. A few years into it things were not doing good at the facility. They didn't pay bills on time and had mom life ins cancelled. She was able to get a new one. Also poor care had mom in and out of hospital. I really feel sorry for older people getting taken advantage of, and knowing that some day I will probably be one of those people. Anyways, Finally, new management came in and some people went and some new ones came. Lucky for mom she made new friends(nurses) and we both love them. The facility has been going thru renovations and is looking good. I really like the new human resource person and business admin., they are great.
