I would like to acknowledge that this nursing facility eve though short on staff during the covid 19 took really good care of my mother during her two week stay after having broke her hip. Rooms were clean, staff was amazing and took the time needed to take care of my mother which was highly appreciated. Therapist is the best and very motivating . My mother loved the food . I would like to add each time we came to check in on our mother and visit with her I personally took notes. I liked that the residents were either outside in the front soaking up some sunshine, or outside int he back enjoying fresh air, I noted residents were clean, well fed, lot of interaction with other residents / staff, the facility itself was clean, no bad odors at all. Staff is very friendly . Maintenance men were right there to fix any issues that came up . Over all I was very impressed.

No, during the weekdays with 9am to 5pm is great but on weekends it always smells like sweage. The call buttons are always ringing while workers are busy talking. My uncles room had the floors sticky because they would not clean the floors. It's horrible, if you care for your loved ones do notplace them here

Navasota Nursing and Rehab, also sheridan, is an amazing home. i couldn't have wished for a better home for my mom. The administrator welcomed me into her office and was always willing to help how ever she could. The CNAs and Nurses truly care for the residents there. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place for a loved one that they will be at peace with. I can never express enough how much I appreciated everyone there.

Transition

The Sheridan Experience was one complete fulfillment. I worked at Sheridan of Navasota for over three years. I found that the Administrator and staff were caring and nurtuing to the individuals that lived there. The owners, Administrator and staff took pride in the care, dignity and well-being of individuals living within the facility. The community viewed the facility as a family who looked out for family and love ones. The holidays were really a special time for individuals due to the large Thanksgiving and Christmas meals with families and love ones. Indiviudals were always provided with something to do and keep them independent as possible and this was great concern for them. Staff would go the extra mile for an individual, which made me proud to work for such a company. The company was faith-based with made it an added plus for the community as well and the community was always involved in different events within the facility.
