My brother moved into The Avenues of Fort Bend. We chose it because of the friendly and attentive staff. He has a nice, large unit. The facility is clean. They do regular maintenance, so they keep it in nice shape. He's recovering from a serious illness, but he's out of bed. They get him up every morning, and he's joined in some activities.

Provider Response

Thank you, Brenda, for your thoughtful review of The Avenues of Fort Bend! We're so glad to hear your brother is settling in well and beginning to take part in activities during his recovery. Our team takes great pride in providing attentive care and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment, and we’re honored you chose our community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything more we can do to support him.

I visited this facility

I toured The Avenues of Fort Bend. It was great. We wanted my dad to go there, but he did not want to move. He wanted to just stay where he was. The thing is that they had offered a good discount, but he didn't feel like moving, so that was fine. The apartment was a little bit larger than where he is now. The staff members were slow to respond to different things we wanted as far as calling back. Other than that, they were fine. They had a movie time or matinee time for activities.

Provider Response

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience touring The Avenues of Fort Bend. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and found our community and apartments appealing. We understand that making the decision to move is deeply personal, and we respect your father's choice to remain where he feels most comfortable. We also appreciate your feedback regarding communication and follow-up—it’s something we take seriously, and we’re always working to improve our responsiveness. If there's ever anything more we can do or any questions we can answer in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Wishing you and your family all the best.

The Avenues of Fort Bend was an excellent facility. The staff was very, very loving and compassionate. That was actually my first choice for my godmother. The place was very clean and very elegant. It didn't look like an assisted living facility. They had a beautiful dining room, spacious rooms, and elevators for the residents because they have multiple floors, but I think the staff was just the pinnacle of that whole facility.

Provider Response

Hello, Jerry. We are delighted that your godmother had a great experience with us. Thank you for taking the time to rate us!

I visited this facility

The Avenues of Fort Bend was very nice on the inside. The community seemed like they were very happy. They had nice scenic views outside. They could go out on the porch, and they had a patio section. Those were the good things. I got to see their studio. It was very small. There was a library, dining room, and game room. I ate there. The chicken was not really very melt-in-your-mouth; it was a bit hard. Other than that, it was OK. The place was well maintained.

Provider Response

Gaye, thank you for taking the time to let us know what you loved about your community visit. We'd love to hear more details about your feedback on the studio and dining options as well. Please email us if you would like to provide more information about your visit. Thank you again for visiting us! We hope to see you again soon.

I visited this facility

My tour at The Avenues of Fort Bend was fine; it was nice. I saw both the assisted living and memory care, because as we were walking, the staff was showing me around, and showing me everything. Someone comes in to do activities with them, they have a choir area, they have a garden, so whoever wants to go out they can go out into the garden. I met the manager of the place and I saw some workers giving them breakfast.

Provider Response

Thanks for coming to meet with us and tour. We're here if you have any questions we can answer. Hope you have a fantastic day!

My aunt is a resident of The Avenues of Fort Bend. It's great. They offer all kinds of activities for her to do. She has not been there very long, but I have no complaints about the staff. She is enjoying it. They keep her busy. They offer all kinds of things for her to do with other residents that live there and in that particular unit. Considering her situation, she is thriving there.

Provider Response

We would like to thank you for letting us care for your aunt. It is an honor to care for all of our residents as each one of them is a precious gift. Thank you for your great review! You are a jewel!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom was at The Avenues of Fort Bend. In general the staff seemed to be very friendly and caring. The difficulty there is that the facilities had a much lower staff-to-residents ratio. The problem that we had there was that Mom would fall out of her chair and it would be some time before someone would come to check in on her. The living atmosphere was very nice and very comfortable. It was a nice and well kept place. The food tasted OK; it was like college cafeteria instead of elementary school cafeteria. My mom was getting assisted living, but she was in a private room. The majority of their residents were in wheelchairs and some of them were using walkers. They had activities available. They had daily exercise classes, daily bingo, and they had singing groups come in. They had more activities and more amenities. There was a pool table there which I never saw anyone use.

My father is at The Avenues of Fort Bend. It's a nice quiet community, they're pretty hands-on, and everybody knows everyone. He has a studio that's just a room with a bathroom, but they have private and shared rooms. The staff is fine, and they have group time with the residents.

Provider Response

Good morning Rhonda, it overjoys us to hear that your Father has chosen our community as his new home! The Avenues of Fort Bend will always strive to provide our residents with the most caring and comfortable experience. We appreciate the commendation we receive from all of our residents and look forward to a bright future with your Father and his family members. Please feel free to reach out to us anytime with any questions you may have! Thanks again for your nice message and we hope you have a great rest of your weekend.

The Avenues of Fort Bend has been real good for my mother. It's nice and clean, the staff is very friendly, and they're very competitively priced. The food is not great, but it's OK. It's very bland because they can't season it a lot for the elderly people. They have quite a few activities compared to other places. They are good about keeping everybody involved.

Provider Response

We would like to thank you for letting us care for your mother. It is an honor to care for all of our residents as each one of them is a precious gift. Thank you for your feedback! You are a jewel!

It was very nice. My dad is a smoker, and one of the ladies who workd there told me that it was a smoking environment, but when I called back, I was told that it's not. That's the only problem I had. The rooms they showed me were very beautiful. Everything was nice, the people were also nice to us.

Provider Response

Thank you for the honest feedback. It's true, we are not a smoking community because many of our residents are on oxygen. Thanks again for your feedback!

I moved my mother in March. I liked the facility. They are very pleasant. It had a lot of trees and looked very natural. One of the biggest draws was the dining because she could order off of the menu, and there isn't a set time to eat. You just go when you want to eat and order what you want to order and that was very appealing to her. They also have breakfast all day long. She goes to exercise every morning, which she never had before. She never played bingo before and now she is playing bingo. They have happy hour on Fridays and some entertainment or music several times a month. Their outside facilities are very nice. She is very happy, so everything is going great. The medical care has been good. I asked for something and a doctor came to see her. Everything is great.

The rooms were very nice and clean, too. I didn’t see a lot of staff, but the person who walked me around the place was fine.

Dad is here, and we think the facility is wonderful. It’s clean. When you walk in, it doesn’t smell like urine. The rooms are really nice. The people are wonderful. It has a very upbeat staff. They are very personable, and they really interact with the residents. The chef is also amazing. Overall, it’s a great facility.
