My daughter and I picked Psalm 23 Home Care for my brother, but it was an assisted living facility. You live in a home and they take care of you. It was wonderful. The people there sounded great, but he needed 24-hour care. I like that it was a house. It wasn't a hospital, so the people didn't have on the uniforms and stuff. It was homier. There were other people you could talk to. My brother had already made a friend in there. They were talking about country and Western movies. Everybody there seemed happy. I talked to a bunch of them and they seemed happy and that was a big part of what I wanted. I don't have any experience with him being in there, but just visiting them, they were extremely nice. They showed me everything. The house didn't smell like pee, like how sometimes nursing homes do. It was nice. The one they showed me was a shared room. They have individual rooms, but they cost more. They were very clean. I saw common rooms, and they had a big TV in them and lots of sitting room, and they had tables with magazines on them. They have a nice garden that they can go out and sit in.
