Just a visitor

I visited this assisted living facility and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. The residents I met were happy and were having a good time socializing. The common areas were clean and nicely decorated. They have a vegetable garden in the Spring and the residents help shell peas and snap beans. Then the cook prepared the vegetables for their lunch or supper that day. They have an exercise room with treadmills and other equipment suitable for the residents. It is not a large facility and the staff is kind and caring with the residents. Ivy Crest has a fish tank, birds, and dogs for everyone to enjoy. A hair dresser comes weekly to cut hair, give perms, and do wash and sets. The facility provides transportation to doctor appointments if needed. I would recommend this facility for anyone that is able to take care of their personal needs but wants the security of nursing staff and caregivers.
