My aunt is in this nursing home. The staff seems very friendly but the conditions are not the best. The equipment and surroundings are very old and dingy. My aunt and other residents do not look or smell very visually clean. The staff states that they are overbudget and understaffed. My aunt is non-ambulatory and it seems they don't particularly care about getting her out of bed for a change of scenary or stimulation. The staff seems to have a relationship bond with her and they are very good about HIPPA restrictions and not disclosing anything they shouldn't except to her guardians. She seems fairly happy with being in this institution although that is a loose statement based on the fact that she is neurologically impaired. I have seen her in worse places. I wish the facility were a bit more updated and better staffed. I would also like to see the door locked from the inside as well. It seems a bit easy for an ambulatory resident to walk right out the door should they feel inclined to do so.
