Our mother has been in this home for six months and we couldn’t be happier with the care she has received. We chose Morningstar because it is a home rather than a facility. Their small numbers allow for alot of individual care. The staff is very attentive and loving. The meals prepared at the home by Holly are first rate. The residents are kept busy throughout the day with different activities. Our mom is now part of their family and they are now part of ours.

We have chosen Morningstar Assisted Living Center for my father. He is moving in next week. It is an older place, and some things are a bit outdated. It is very clean. We chose this place because it is smaller. They could provide more care compared to the other places we saw. They would help him in and out of bed, help him shower, and help him with his medications. Since it's a smaller place with only 17 beds, we know he'll get more individualized care. They would provide three meals a day plus snacks. They have something different every meal for four weeks before it is repeated again. They also provide everything like shampoo and toilet paper. Dad has his own room, and we could bring in his own things. The room was somewhat small, but there is room for a bed, a chair, a dresser, a TV, and a TV stand. He has a half bath and a sink in his bedroom. He has an outdoor space, like a little courtyard, where he can go out. They have a room for activities and games. They don't have a rehab area, but we can have someone come in (which is what we're going to do). They have a large dining area with a fireplace. They also have some tables for people who want to do games or puzzles. It is sort of like a college dorm for old people. The staff is really friendly. The one who gave me the tour was Holly, and she was fantastic.

My husband has moved in at Morningstar Assisted Living Center and he's doing very well. The staff is fantastic. It's like being at home. My husband's room is large and more than adequate for his needs. It's a gated community. They have exercise time and game time every day, and entertainment once a week. My husband says the food is very good. What I like most about this place is they treat the residents as family.

Both my parents and my aunt lived at Morningstar for several years. This is an amazing place!! The staff is very loving, patient and genuinely care for all their residents. They provide excellent food, exercise everyday, afternoon activities, movie nights, special music and more. He staff kept us informed at all times. We felt like it was a family atmosphere, small enough to give personal care for our loved ones. I highly recommend this facility!

In visiting this facility, I was most impressed with the spacious living areas and the dining area. Residents eat together and have a comfortable area for socializing and activities. In talking to my relative, there seems to be a lot of activities offered to residents as well, so there always seems to be something to do. The staff was quite friendly and they seem to really have the best interests of the residents in mind. It also impressed me that there are various types of rooms and services available to residents depending upon their needs. They also pay different rates based upon their specific needs, this is very helpful. The grounds of the facility were well-kept and the common areas were decorated in a home-like, appealing fashion. All of the residents we talked to seemed to mostly be in an up-beat and positive mood. They seemed to feel at home where they lived, something I think is very important. The rooms for the residents were not as spacious as I have seen in other facilities, however they were large enough to meet residents' needs. Overall this is a great assisted living facility.
