"I like Arrowhead Lodge Senior Living. The staff members were very friendly. We met the general manager, and she was very nice. We also met the activities director. They all made us feel very welcome. I like the idea that it was a small community. There were only 48 units. I also like that every unit had a kitchen in it. One thing that was appealing was that it looked very clean, and they had refurbished it with new carpet and new paint. It looked nice. We walked by the kitchen, and they were fixing some salads that looked very good. The staff who toured us was very nice and very helpful."

"We toured Holiday Hills Estates. I was very pleased. I thought it was a very nice facility, with very nice accommodations. The kitchen seating area was very nice, very open, and inviting. I felt like they had a lot to offer for seniors. They had a TV room, a puzzle room, a library, a salon, and a place to work out with ellipticals. They had an activity room. They provide crafts, bingo, and different things throughout the day. They have a monthly schedule that they hand out to their residents so they know what's been offered for the month. They provide transportation for seniors, which was a plus for me knowing that my mom could get to appointments she has or even take them grocery shopping. Tyler was very nice and easy to talk to, answered all my questions, and showed me everything. He did a great job. I saw that they offered coffee throughout the day, and they had a counter that had some different little snacks, things that they could come and get during the day in between meals, and a big open space for sitting with a fireplace. They were doing a little bit of renovating, but it was very clean and very open, very much decorated for Christmas. The outside was very clean and nice."

"Good Samaritan Society - Echo Ridge is a senior living apartment with attached assisted living, so it's a continuous care facility. The building has 59 units, with one meal, a complete kitchen, two-bedrooms, and one-bath. The staff was well trained and courteous. The dining area was close to the entrance, and it had a vaulted ceiling with beautiful, big windows. It was bright and clean, and there's an elevator there and the post office boxes are there, so it's very convenient. The washers and dryers were on each hall, so we could do our own laundry. They have light housekeeping once a week if it's desired. I was excited that I could cook some of my own meals."

"Westhills South Assisted Living Facility II is state of the art facility which offers very warm, highly friendly neat and clean atmosphere to reside. It has been visited by me with my uncle last month. It has been tailored to offer all necessary amenities to the individual as per the needs of every resident. The facility has employed highly trained and qualified staff which is ready to lend a helping hand with anything from laundry to medication management. The internet, library and media facilities are readily available to remain in touch with the loved ones and get first hand knowledge of their well being. I found the management staff rich in their experience of handling assisted living facilities. Food provided is of high quality and strictly in line with the advice rendered by the nutritionist. Activities are planned to allow every resident to form part of this 'home' thus enjoying the love and affection in this old age. "

"My wife moved to the assisted living community of Edgewood Rapid City, and I like the community. They seemed very friendly, and everybody there seemed happy. They had an opening pretty much right away with another lady, so my wife also got a roommate. I thought the place was well organized. They have everything there, like physical therapy, and many other programs. They have a beauty parlor, a worship center, Bible studies, and many things like that. The dining area is also nice. The space was nice and the lighting was good. The staff members are friendly and very knowledgeable."

"I went to Peaceful Pines and toured the memory care area. It was excellent. It was very clean and very well-managed. The staff was really great. They've got everything you can think of. It was just a little pricey."
