"Arrowhead Lodge Senior Living is a very nice facility. It seems like it's run very well. The people that oversee it seemed very attentive like they pay attention to what's going on. The staff was very nice. I had lunch there. I had a salad with cooked chicken breast on top of it and some veggies. And then they had ice cream and chocolate cake for dessert. It was all served restaurant style, and it was very good. Everything was very nice, beautiful, and well-maintained. It felt welcoming. I liked it a lot. It was very nice. And everybody was very friendly. People said hello in the hallway, both people that live there as well as the people that work there."

"I toured Holiday Hills Estates. It looked like a pretty nice facility. I think they do a good job. They provide some transportation for the patients. It's pretty independent. I was there when they had a meal. It was pretty good. It looked clean. They're not super spacious, but they're probably adequate. They had a choice of one, two, or studio bedrooms. You don't have a lot of storage space. I mean, you can't bring your whole house with you. The staff who gave the tour were very nice, and I've met several more now."

"I toured Good Samaritan Society - Echo Ridge. I toured the independent living, but they told me they also have assisted living in a separate wing. It's like in a separate area of the facility. Their food was good. They were very friendly. I got to eat with one of the residents. All of the residents were very nice. They would come up to me and say how much they liked living there and that kind of thing, so I was very pleased. I liked how friendly everybody was. It's the best thing. They were wonderful. I had a meatloaf, a baked potato, veggies, and an ice cream, and the food was good basic home cooking. It was very tasty. It was a full-course meal. The structure of the building was very nice. It seemed like the kitchens had everything that you needed. The rooms were nice and large, and they were all very clean. So that was good. I felt welcomed and the atmosphere was very friendly. They had the best prices. Each apartment does not have its own individual porch, but they have a courtyard that everybody can use, so it's still very, very nice. I think it's a good deal for the price."

"Westhills Village is top-notch. Everything is nice. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful and open-minded. She took us around to see anything we wanted to look at. We saw aerobics in the swimming pool. They showed us the shop where they have all their power tools and stuff like that. They have a large library and activity rooms. It was well laid out."

"Edgewood Rapid City was beautiful. It was very nice. The people were very friendly. I was impressed because the lady I was with who was giving me the tour knew the names of all the residents that she encountered. When we were walking through the place, she would call out the people by name and she knew what was going on with them. So it's very personal and very caring. The staff was wonderful. The building was very clean and very nice. It's very welcoming. They're very friendly. I have bad arthritis in my knees, and it was hard for me to walk, so the staff took me around in a wheelchair, and that was very nice. That's special."

"I toured Peaceful Pines. It was clean. It was roomy. They have handles up and down on all the halls. So, that would be easier for someone to be able to go up and down the hall if they had walking issues. There was a nursing staff 24/7 Monday through Friday. There were plenty of social activities. There were outside areas where the residents could go outside and enjoy the outside. There was the opportunity, if you didn't like what was being served, you could order off a menu. It was just accommodating for the residents and anybody that wanted to visit. The staff was very helpful. They were very understanding. They listened to what you had to say. There was an exercise/therapy room. There was a TV room. There was a small library. There were a lot of great opportunities."
