Edgewood Rapid City

My wife moved to the assisted living community of Edgewood Rapid City, and I like the community. They seemed very friendly, and everybody there seemed happy. They had an opening pretty much right away with another lady, so my wife also got a roommate. I thought the place was well organized. They have everything there, like physical therapy, and many other programs. They have a beauty parlor, a worship center, Bible studies, and many things like that. The dining area is also nice. The space was nice and the lighting was good. The staff members are friendly and very knowledgeable.

Edgewood Rapid City was beautiful. It was very nice. The people were very friendly. I was impressed because the lady I was with who was giving me the tour knew the names of all the residents that she encountered. When we were walking through the place, she would call out the people by name and she knew what was going on with them. So it's very personal and very caring. The staff was wonderful. The building was very clean and very nice. It's very welcoming. They're very friendly. I have bad arthritis in my knees, and it was hard for me to walk, so the staff took me around in a wheelchair, and that was very nice. That's special.

I toured Edgewood Rapid City. The apartment was very spacious. I could get everything that I wanted to take with me in that apartment and not be crowded at all. I like Edgewood because it's all on one level. You don't have to go up and down any ramps. What I really like there is, if you're musical at all or play the piano, they have organs and pianos everywhere that you can play. I had a piano and I had to give it away. I've given my organ away also, but I would not be lonely for one if I went over there. It was also a homier feeling where you don't have to feel like you're uptown or anything.

When we walked in Edgewood, it instantly had that homey and welcoming feeling. It was a lot better than the other ones we have checked out. The residents seemed happy and people would talk to each other. They showed us different menus and if the residents didn't want anything on the menu, they had something on the side that they could choose. They had a grill area where if you didn't like what they were having that day, you could have chicken nuggets or a hotdog there, which was a great option. They had a chef there, so I feel like their food is going to be good. Even just looking through their menus, my parents looked very pleased with what they're going to be having. I would describe the staff as family, that's how they treated us.

Edgewood Somerset Court was very clean. I didn't see anything broken or in need of repairs. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was very nice and updated. They had crafts and a place where they did activities and exercise. There wasn't a lot of parking for people that come visit. It felt homey, and they had a lot of activities for various resident personalities.

We found Somerset court for my mother. It was pretty nice, the layout was pretty good, and they had lots of activities that the residents could join and enjoy. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and very nice.
