Part of the reason why we chose Peaceful Pines for Mom was because of the services that they provide. They provide meals, transportation, light housekeeping, and activities. It's just a welcoming atmosphere. It's a convenient location for where we live and probably the biggest thing is that it's independent living, assisted living, and memory care, so we can transition her through the phases there if we need to. Currently, she's independent. Her apartment is convenient. The layout is very accessible for her because she uses a motorized scooter. The doorways are wide so that she's able to maneuver easier. She has been satisfied with the food. It's buffet style for the independent seniors and they serve lunch and dinner every day.

I toured Peaceful Pines. The community was only built in 2016, so it was very nice and new, and the kitchens were well-equipped. They had all the equipment. Other facilities don't have a microwave or a dishwasher, and this one has all the kitchen equipment you would want. The kitchens looked very new and modern, so I liked that. And the staff was very friendly. They were very nice. I tasted their food, and unfortunately, I was not pleased with the food. It was pretty yucky. The room was about on par with all the other apartments. The size of the rooms was generous, and it was plenty roomy, for what I would need.

I toured Peaceful Pines. It was clean. It was roomy. They have handles up and down on all the halls. So, that would be easier for someone to be able to go up and down the hall if they had walking issues. There was a nursing staff 24/7 Monday through Friday. There were plenty of social activities. There were outside areas where the residents could go outside and enjoy the outside. There was the opportunity, if you didn't like what was being served, you could order off a menu. It was just accommodating for the residents and anybody that wanted to visit. The staff was very helpful. They were very understanding. They listened to what you had to say. There was an exercise/therapy room. There was a TV room. There was a small library. There were a lot of great opportunities.

I went to Peaceful Pines and toured the memory care area. It was excellent. It was very clean and very well-managed. The staff was really great. They've got everything you can think of. It was just a little pricey.

I moved my father over to assisted living at Peaceful Pines. It has three stages of care, independent living, assisted living, and memory care. It's midrange as far as price is concerned. They have a full-time nursing staff on duty. They work with their residents well. It was difficult to put him in there and they tried to make him as comfortable as possible. They're very friendly, very caring, and easy to work with. It's very well organized and easy to access to go visit. Where he's at, they have three different rooms where you can sit down and visit, bring the family in and have a family visit. They have outside facilities, which is nice, and you can go out there to visit. Everything is within easy access to family and the residents. He doesn't participate in the activities. He likes to sit down and visit. He goes over to independent living and visits with people he knows over there and they come over to visit him. He's not into organized games or anything like that. It's more of a social thing for him. He gets three meals a day. The food looks really good. I haven't had any meals with him recently. He feels that their cooking is fine. Nothing spectacular, but it's fine, and it's tasty and filling and the nutritional value, from what I can tell, is pretty well balanced. I like the layout of the facility. They have bingo and they organize activities all the time and the other residents seem to enjoy them. My dad would be considered a cowboy and he likes the view of the rock hills and this was the best location for him.

We looked at Peaceful Pines. Overall, it was a pretty nice place. If I was looking for a facility for myself, I would probably choose that one. They have some activities, not a whole bunch, it is more independent and you pick your own activity. They have laundry and dining. Overall, it is a pretty decent place. They provide transportation for the members. The building is fairly new, so the apartments are all pretty nice. The floor plans are decent; they have good views. It is in a nice location. The staff seemed pretty friendly and pretty knowledgeable. The nice thing about them is that they have progressive care as you go from independent living, assisted living and memory care units. The cost is fairly equal, too.

My mom is at Peaceful Pines. They are a complete community. They have senior housing, assisted living and memory care unit. The memory care unit is doing a wonderful job as far as I can tell. The staff has been great. They have been responsive and helpful. They taught us how to work with my mother as she is losing her memory and her ability to keep track of things. My mom is properly fed, well housed, and has a nice room. It is a nice community. It has an outdoor attached to it that will be available as the weather gets better. Also, it has been easy to take Mom out to doctor's appointments and to sometimes go out for a meal with us. They have been responsive to all our questions. The staff is incredibly patient. As I visit my mom, I see that some of the patients try the patience of the staff severely. Nevertheless, they are very tolerant, and I have never seen them get upset, irritated, or bothered even by people who are being bothersome or difficult. The food is good enough but not great. They have activities in the unit on a regular basis a couple of times a week. They also have planned activities during the part of the year where the weather is nicer. They have activities in the assisted living that they will take people from the memory care place too if people want to go. They try hard to have as much as activities for the residents.
