"I went to Myrtle Beach Grove Senior Living. Everything was very nice. I had an encounter with the person who took me on tour when a couple of the residents there stopped her and asked her questions, she was very kind and informative to them. Also, they were in the middle of cooking dinner, and the food smelled good. It's a little older building, but I like that everything is on one floor. It is very nicely landscaped outside, too."

"I went to Spring Oak Conway. It was a little bit too far out for what I needed. The staff was very pleasant. They were very knowledgeable, very patient, and very caring. They were cleaning the facility while I was there. The rooms are adequate. The dining area was a nice size and it looked fairly clean."

"We went to Arbor Landing at Surfside. Their price range was almost in my category. It's still a little bit high. Everything they showed us looked excellent. The staff showed me everything I needed to see. The building looks clean and well-maintained. The size of the studio was 16 by 12. I wasn't looking for a studio because I like a separate bedroom. The cedar living room was 12 by 18. The bedroom was 12 by 12, and the closet was 12 by 7. I love those large closets because there's so much stuff that you always have left over."

"I toured the Inlet Coastal Resort. I like the size of the facility. It was small. The assisted living population was approximately 35 residents, which I appreciated versus a much larger population. There was one level, which also was nice in a circular fashion, which I thought was helpful in terms of navigating where things are. It appeared clean. I had one person who took me around. She was very knowledgeable, and helpful, and answered all my questions. There's a variety of rooms. Some were big, some medium, and some small. I saw about 3 or 4 different rooms, and they're all different sizes."

"Mom was well cared for here. All the employees are friendly and helpful. Mom was well fed and cared for at all times during her time there. The entire facility is well kept, very clean and beautiful. Thank you so much."

"We went to look at Tabor Commons. We were impressed because everybody there knew the people there personally. They call them by name. They were very attentive. The facility was very clean and smelled okay. They had like a social place and an outdoor place. It felt homier."

"Reflections Assisted Living is not a new facility. I think it's been there for 20 years or so, but it is well-kept. It's an easy location to get to for visitors. We went in last weekend completely unannounced, and it looked spotless (for a weekend). I can't say anything but good things about the upkeep there. We have not been back to visit my sister-in-law, because we wanted to get her settled in first, but as far as I can tell, she's settled in very well. We were most pleased by the fact that the manager was able to work with the hospital that she was leaving by looking at her documents over the weekend so we were able to get her out of the hospital and into the facility within three days. That was one of the most important things to us, was getting there quickly. Now that she is there, we're very pleased with the place. Jordan and the head nurse have been very helpful to keep me updated about what was going on. The facility could have been a little more modern, but the truth is, even if the brick is not the shiny stuff that some of them are made of and it's not stories, it looks more like a home with a big door right in front. For people that age, I think they might like the fact that they don't have to go up elevators. It has a homey feeling inside."

"We've been very happy with Lakeside Crossing. It's kept up nice and we have beautiful facilities. We've got indoor/outdoor pools, a workout room, a craft room, a community hall for the dances, and a library. Most of the staff here are very friendly. We just got a new manager, and he is very nice and has done a lot of upkeep on the place to make sure things are getting done. I am very pleased with him. They also have card games, music, and bingo for activities."

"Active Day Grand Strand has a calendar of activities and things that they do. There weren't much to the grounds because it was basically a parking lot. The inside of the facility seemed fine. The location was good and very convenient to get to. It also seemed like it's in a nice area. I think the pricing was reasonable and not super expensive."

"I VISITED THE FACILITY AND THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH THE PEOPLE STAYING THERE AND SHOWED THEM THE REPECT NO MATTER HOW THEY ACTED ALSO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. VERY CLEAN FACILITY."

"The Grove at Coastal Grand was beautiful. The staff seemed to be very caring. Their interaction with the clientele was superb. The aesthetic was awesome. The two-bedroom that I looked at had ample space. It was very clean. They're friendly. They interact with their clientele. They're very professional. I saw people in wheelchairs. I saw people with their families. I saw people that are independent. I was there for quite some time with them."

"I recently visited a family member at Kingston Nursing Center in Conway,SC. The atmosphere was so friendly, the facility more homelike than I expected. The residents seemed well cared for, all dressed appropriately and nicely. The smells were only associated with sweetness, nothing acrid as with some long term facilities. The staff were very accomodating in helping me find my way to my sweet great aunt. It was a pleasant day that made me happy my aunt is well cared for in such caring hands and wonderful facility. I also loved the pets that were allowed to wander around the residents, many being petted by the residents."

"Newly refurbished. Beautiful to see. Wonderful staff. Caring and careful in treatment of residents. Visit anytime with no restrictions on time. Just a wonderful environment. Food choices are varied,well prepared and . mostly hot on serving. This is where I would want to be if the need arises "

"Watercrest Myrtle Beach was stunning. It smelled good, and it was just gorgeous. They had a very attentive staff. They had a diverse food selection for different residents who may have different food needs. The style was more like a luxury hotel than an assisted living facility. It was very homey, very comfortable, and very welcoming. Everyone there was very engaged. Their chef made a dozen of freshly baked cookies for my parents that morning - 6 oatmeal cookies and 6 chocolate chip cookies as a welcome gesture. It was above and beyond, and they had them sent to my parents in the hospital. Where most assisted living facilities have a little eating area, theirs looked more like a restaurant. They didn't have specific hours where the residents could eat. Somebody would come take your order, and they would make you whatever you want."
