My mother was at Country View Manor for about a year and a half. She was in a bad state of mind, she was very depressed. She was just miserable and she was taking it out on them, but they were very nice to her and very gracious with her. They helped her as much as they could for as long as they could. She just wasn't happy there. I liked it very much. It seemed very nice. She just became very combative and didn't want to deal with any of those people and she got to the point where she needed more care than they were able to provide. She had her own big private room with a shared bathroom. The place was really nice. The staff members came in and kept everything clean for her and helped her in the bathroom with showers and baths. We were able to use her own furniture and she was able to choose things in there. She wasn't real happy about the food. They had put her on the diabetic diet she was supposed to be on, and she wasn't happy about that either. She didn't participate in any activities, but they were offered.
