The reason we chose Lehigh Commons is that my father needed kind of extensive care and they were able to provide it. It's super nice. The one-on-one care is very, very good. All the nurses and the staff are super nice. My dad's on the memory care side. It's not that he needs it for memory. He's just not very mobile. My dad said the food's good, and he was a pretty good cook. They take him out to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a board and they have activities. I just don't know how many he's attended. The rooms though are very small. They're like a dorm room. The furniture is kind of outdated, but my dad likes it. It's cozy for him that it's small. Price-wise, this one was on the lower end, but they have nursing staff there.

Lehigh Commons is perfect for an older person. I like the privacy, and the dining room was nice. The rooms were nice, too, and there was a variety of rooms. It's very clean. The staff who gave the tour was perfect. He knew what he was doing there. I didn't eat the food, but I saw it and it looked good and appetizing. It wasn't canned or anything, it was all fresh stuff. The dining area was very clean and easily accessible, too. It was like right in the middle of the place. It was a perfect environment for a dining room. They have bingo. It was a nice place. I would love to put my father in there if he wanted to go. The person who gave me the tour was an assistant in charge. He was very kind, and he showed me everything I wanted to see. He explained in detail about the facilities. He's really good. I thought the facility was nice.

I toured Lehigh Commons for my mom, and I liked it. It was clean and nice. The staff is knowledgeable. They were doing an activity when I went through. A lot of them were involved in the activity, but then there were a few that were choosing to do their own thing in their room. They also seemed friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't get to see a lot of specific interaction, only the ones that are working on the activity, and they obviously were involved. The layout was kind of like a V. There's like a central area, and in that central area there's a dining area and kitchen area. Then there's also like a common like living room area and visiting section. There's also a courtyard that goes out the door right in that area. Off of that central area, there are two wings, and there's approximately seven rooms down the one end and seven rooms down the other end. The rooms are nice and spacious. You can make them your own however you want to decorate them. I think they offer craft like things. I can't remember what they call the thing that they were doing when I was there, but it was kind of a recall activity; they would say the first half of something and then the resident would have to try to complete the sentence or complete the thought. I liked it.

I just placed my parents in Lehigh Commons. It is the right type of setting that I was looking for; it's open land. They've been there a week and I have been very happy with the service they've been getting. The food is good, and the community is well-kept. The staff members are very helpful and nice. With the Covid environment, everyone is on quarantine but they're starting to give vaccinations to their residents. I am sure the environment will change in time. They still accommodate people in their rooms and provide care and activities in the rooms. But that is something I would have to find more details about. I think it is a good value for the money because they have a variety of rooms and the price changes based on the apartment size. They offer additional personal care, and it is all one price. I think it is fairly priced.

We visited Lehigh Commons for mom, but we were not able to go to one of the rooms per se because of Covid. We had to stay in the first floor common areas. What we liked about it was the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They knew the people that were passing by and knew all the residents by name. The place was sort of a family type area; it is not cold. They approached the whole idea that it is not so much like a nursing home or an assisted living facility, but it is an apartment that somebody can live in. It was clean, and we liked the idea that they had a separate more intense memory care unit. They also had a physical therapy onsite. There was a lot going on. It would have been nice to get into one of the rooms, but we understand that with Covid, we can't. When we got there, they were in the process of sanitizing everything for the next meal.

My Mother-In-Law lived there in assisted living until she needed to move to Memory Care recently. This is the third facility we have had her in and it is the best so far. The rooms are very nice and the amenities are excellent with patios, library, movie room, exercise facilities game room, etc. The activities team provide many opportunities for residents to interact and enjoy entertainment. The COVID virus has become a very serious threat to the elderly and the staff at the Commons has done an excellent job of keeping the residents safe and secure. The staff has proven to be very helpful to us during these difficult times; they are empathetic to the fact that we cannot physically interact as we once were able and do their level best to bridge that gap. The food is most excellent-the chef is creative and produces culinary delights on a regular basis. The staff has communicated extremely well, conducting video calls as often as three times a week and providing the ability to conduct video calls with our resident weekly. The pandemic has made it difficult on all of us, but The Commons has been creative in trying to mitigate the stress of this environment; and for that we are most appreciative. They have demonstrated a clear compassion for the situation but also have been aggressive in prevention well beyond the norm. We remain extremely pleased and commend the entire staff for their superlative efforts in these difficult times. They are true heroes!

My mother has been a resident of the Lehigh Commons community in Macungie, PA for a little over a year and my family and I have nothing but rave reviews for this facility. The staff of dedicated and committed individuals has gone above and beyond in caring for our loved ones both before and during this unprecedented time in all our lives. They have kept this vicious virus in check while at the same time caring for themselves and keeping their own families safe. A big shoutout goes to Tom, the director, who tirelessly conducted twice daily zoom calls with us for months in the early stages of this pandemic to keep us updated and assure transparency in the community. And a great big thanks to Karen and all of reception, for always professionally and pleasantly answering hundreds of calls daily and even resolving issues on the spot. The gratitude doesn't stop there. I would be remiss if I didn't remind Amanda, Jeannine, Bernie, Arlene and the entire nursing staff of how much their tender loving care of Mom means to us. Thanks too to Candice and Nicole for their continuous efforts to keep our loved ones happy during this stressful time. I can't tell you how much those weekly zoom calls mean to my mother. And, she's learned to use an ipad at 96! Many thanks to the food staff, physical therapy staff, everyday caregivers, and let's never forget cleaning and maintenance staff and anyone else I may have overlooked. The facility wouldn't be what it is without you. Have we had a few bumps along the way? Yes, but they have all been resolved quickly and completely. I highly recommend Lehigh Commons, a very compassionate, caring community to anyone who is looking for assisted living for a loved one.

Lehigh Common's response to the onset of the Corona virus could not have been better. Pre-emptive measures paid off and LC only had two 'positives' in the first months. My mother was one of them. She turned 100 years old in the emergency room. Six weeks later, she returned to her apartment. I can't rate the staff highly enough... beginning with the leadership of the Director and his staff, the most excellent nursing staff and lastly, housekeeping. During these troubled times, I could not ask for more. Five Stars +

My grandmother is a resident here, and the staff was great at communicating openly and clearly while the community was on full lock down. They still have open lines of communication while they're under partial CV19 lockdown, and have done all they can to keep the residents comfortable during these extremely trying times. Many thanks to all of you that have taken such great care of my grandmother!

My Mom has been a resident for two years and we are very pleased with the care and love she receives, the responsiveness of the staff and the communication from the management. They have done a great job of managing and communicating during the pandemic.

I visited many Assisted Living homes in the Lehigh Valley and selected Lehigh Commons for my sister. It was an excellent decision. The rooms are excellent, the staff is very caring and attentive. The recreation activities are better than any Home that I have visited. It was first community to institute FaceTime visits in the Lehigh Valley.

This facility goes above and beyond to assist the residents in Memory Care. There is a beautiful enclosed outdoor courtyard that provides a safe outdoor environment. The staff are respectful and supportive of all issues and consistently keep in touch with family. During the Corona Virus, Zoom Meetings were provided 2x per day to keep all families updated!!! This now continues on a weekly basis. Truly remarkable.

The number one factor about this wonderful facility is the highest quality personnel who carry out their duties in a most professional and caring manner. When one sends a loved one to a senior -community family facility, the caring and love rendered to your loved ones should be your top priority. I can assure you that at Lehigh Commons you are receiving the absolute best in care and concern. My relationship with the entire staff was always satisfying and most pleasing to me and my loved one. My loved one was so proud of her room and the excellent room care and maintenance that was provided to her. I can still see my loved one who only recently passed away fully enjoying herself in the exercise and rehab activities. She would always get a special glimmer in her eyes when she so proudly talked about her great progress in her programs. Another much appreciated aspect of her senior -living facility that my loved one was so happy and proud about concerned the decorations that always adorned the premises. I still cherish all the walks I enjoyed with my loved one as she introduced me to all the staff members we encountered. She truly looked upon the staff as her family. What a great tribute to everyone at Lehigh Commons. I praise and recommend this special people oriented facility to everyone I encounter. God bless all of you and thank all of you for taking such good care of my loved one when neither she nor I were able to do that anymore.

My mother is in this facility and the staff is so very nice and caring. The atmosphere is not like your in a nursing home it is personal and homey. She has her independence but has the friendly staff there to assist her when needed.

Everyone at the Commons and Memory Care have been wonderful to my grandma who is now in the memory care part. They are in constant communication, especially now with Covid and truly have the residents best interests at heart. We never worry with her being there! Can’t say enough good things about the staff and facility!

The staff at Lehigh Commons has done a great job handling the COVID19 pandemic. Tom, the director, has been transparent with many Zoom calls over the past few months. My mother has been there for over four years, and my father was there for one year before then. Their overall experiences have been very positive.

We liked Lehigh Commons. They were very friendly and warm. The facility was in very good shape. They had a variety of activities and also private rooms. They were playing Bingo when we were there. They also had a library and buses. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I visited my grandmother in this facility many times. All the staff members were kind and courteous. My grandmother became extremely withdrawn socially after the death of her daughter and her move from her home of over 50 years to the facility. The staff really went above and beyond in terms of interacting with her and encouraging her to interact with the other facility residents. The staff always made sure that she ate with other residents rather than by herself in her room. They always looked in on her and encouraged her to go to activities like concerts and art activities. She especially enjoys playing Bingo with the friends that she has met there. When I visited for the first time I was extremely nervous that this would be a hospital like setting. I'm very phobic about medical facilities and was pleased to find that this place was anything but the clinical setting I was expecting. It was bright, open, and cheerful. Her room was nice and kept very neatly. The only issue that my family had was that some of clothes were washed incorrectly and ruined as a result. Overall, I believe that the kind staff provided my grandmother with the best care and created the best environment possible for my grandmother.

I'm so thankful I found this place for my parents. It's a diamond in the rough :) The facility is just as lovely as the Personal Care homes, but they will take patients that the other facilities won't take. Price is comparable if not better than other facilities and the staff is excellent! Always clean, friendly and in quiet country-like setting. I haven't heard one negative comment from any other family members who have their loved ones placed there either.

A relative of mine has been at Lehigh Commons in PA for the past several years. The facility is really quite nice. Upon entering, it is airy and light in the common areas, which are comfortable for visiting family to sit there with the resident and talk for hours. Also, there is not that 'hospital' type of smell, so it feels more like entering an apartment building or hotel. There is also some outdoor seating if the day is nice. The dining area is set up like a restaurant, with small tables with table cloths, etc. The resident room that my family member is in has a private bathroom, a sleeping area, and a living room area, all of a sufficient size. It is almost like a studio apartment without the cooking area. The staff seems attentive and asks the residents questions and have conversations with them, and there are planned activities for the residents, as well. The care is leveled, so to speak, so that residents can live there for years as their health changes, and patients with dementia are accepted, which is important so that if that condition starts to develop there doesn't need to be a move to a different facility.

My Grandmother lives at Lehigh Commons. The facility is very nice and every time I go to visit my Grandmother, the facility is clean and fresh. The staff is very nice, welcoming and helpful. My cousins and I have brought my Grandmother Birthday cakes and they let us setup in one of the rooms and have the space to ourselves. Overall, I have always been impressed by Lehigh Commons. My Grandmother's room is very nice and the grounds of the facility are actually quite tranquil. The view from her room looks over a meadow where there are often birds and other animals to watch. There are also lots of activities to be had as I have seen other residents playing games and socializing during my visits. I know my Grandmother appreciates Bingo night! There is an option to eat communally in the dining hall or to have meals in your own room which I think is really nice for those days when she just does not feel like socializing.
