"Wesley was very elegant and very clean. It was a very nice place. They offered you two-bedroom units. The girl who toured us was very informative and had a very good manner. There was a chapel. Each apartment had its own washing facility with washer & dryer. There was a library and exercise area. They also did trips. Patients who were there could go on trips once a day. They offered transportation for the area like to the grocery, market, and drug stores. It was a very large community. It was located in an ideal area. If you went in and paid your initial entrance fee, you had a monthly charge. Assisted care was very expensive. "

"I visited the independent living community of Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park. The person who gave the tour was very polite and answered my questions. The room I saw was not bad for a 1-bedroom apartment. The hardest adjustment would be living in an apartment rather than living in a house. There was nothing wrong with the apartment itself. The dining area looked nice. In my case, I don't have to go there if I don't want to because I'm going to have a kitchen in my apartment. But since they said I will be given 3 meals a day, I might as well take that and go there in the morning, lunch, and dinner. The parking seemed alright, and there was plenty of parking."

"Sunrise of Abington was fine, and the staff was fine. It appeared as though when we found out that we didn’t have the income to support my mom for the service in moving in that they were not as interested and being helpful to me. The rooms were of nice size and clean, and the food was good. The dining room has a round table with 7 people per table I want to say; it was an ordinary dining area. They must follow up even after they find out what the person’s income is to see if they can be helpful in any other way or take a look at some options maybe to help providing the income or to be able to point them somewhere else that they can get some services. There are a lot of ways that they can still provide help if the person doesn’t have income at that time. "

"As with most families, it was not easy for us reaching the point where we knew we could not care for mom any longer without help. We looked at several facilities, and then decided on Spring Village at Floral Vale. Mom moved in about a month ago. We could not possibly be happier with that decision. As soon as we brought her in, the nursing staff immediately began to address her needs. Since that day the entire staff has been consistently attentive, diligent in dealing with issues and compassionate, even when mom’s mood turns sour. Communication has been excellent, and we are always kept apprised of how mom is doing. The overall atmosphere is upbeat and cheerful. Mom’s room is beautiful and allows for significant natural light. I would enthusiastically recommend Spring Village at Floral Vale. "

"I learned about Sunrise from a volunteer there so I visited the place. Two ladies came and interviewed my husband to figure out his level of care and I thought that was very helpful. It's a beautiful place and only five years old. The dementia unit is separate from the assisted living area. The staff is extremely helpful and loving. My husband has a private room, I have dinner with him every night in the dining room, and we spend our evening together. They encouraged that. It's a loving and caring place and I'm very pleased with it. "

"My friend is at Arden Courts. It's a memory care facility. The staff are wonderful and very caring. It’s a small community with 16 people, and they have one major sitting room. They have a dining room with a full kitchen and a refrigerator in there. They have an activity room and a community room. They have a medical office, beauty shop, and barber shop where the residents can go. They have crafts displayed also. I have not eaten there, but I get no complaints from my friend about the food. They do all sorts of memory care activities. "

"I toured Viva Senior Living at Dresher. It was good. Everything was excellent. The tour guide was nice. The cafeteria was nice and big. The rooms were nice-sized, big, and looked new. They had a nice bath size for them. I liked the cleanliness, activities, interaction, and personal care with the resident. They have plenty of parking, and the upkeep was excellent."

It's close to home, so on my way home from work, I can stop, I can see him, and hang out for a half hour and not have to spend half my day traveling to bring him here and bring him back. They can sit on the porch in the summertime and look at the river and see the sailboats go by. They have trips to ShopRite and Target. They've got more activities than I can count. "I chose Sunrise of Dresher because it was recommended to me by the social worker at the skilled nursing where I was coming from. I like the care and the positive attitude of everyone on staff, and the upkeep of the facility. My apartment is brand new, perfect, freshly painted, bright, and sunny. They give us some fresh fruit and several choices. There's fresh salad daily and they have a nice dining room. They have well-planned activities all day long. I go to exercise class every morning, which is fun. I enjoy that."

"Brookdale Florence seemed clean and like it would probably served our needs. I have nothing negative to say about it. The staff was very helpful and showed us around. It was a good visit. We saw three different room options that were a little smaller than I thought they might be, but they certainly would have been adequate. "
