Brookdale Bend has quite a nice atmosphere. They have a courtyard for memory care residents. However, they're short on staff and they don't have good food. We ate there with my sister a couple of times and it was not tasty. Since they're short of staff, when you need assistance, they can't come fast enough or soon. It's delayed. One of the things that are bothersome to us is some of the residents have tried to get into my sister's room. So, being aware of where their people are at and what they're doing, isn't up to par. The staff is nice though, and I just blame it on the fact that they don't have enough staff to take care of them.

Our loved one’s room is sufficient. Nice space and bright window. There are activities to do here. The caregivers on the floor have been kind and caring for the most part. Our loved one reports the food to be terrible. It is not at all like the photos on the website. The challenges that we have had have been with communication regarding billing, being charged for unnecessary medical supplies, and being asked to pay cash for medical items that are covered by insurance. Our loved one frequently misses specialist appointments as the facility does not take him as scheduled. We reach out to the head nursing staff to try and coordinate appointments or relay medical information, but we typically do not receive a reply back. We label our loved one’s items for washing and frequently they do not return. We find other resident’s items in their place. We had nothing but positive thoughts moving our loved one into Brookdale, but sadly the outcome has been more stressful than positive.

Brookdale Bend was pretty fantastic. They would have been a perfect fit for my husband. We just couldn't afford the pricing. The rooms were adequate for their purposes there. They have a nice dining area for the residents. They have a little area outside that's all fenced in that they can go out and do gardening and they have chickens and ducks. It's a way to make them feel that it's their home. It has a homey appeal to it. They have a library. They also have a specialized kitchen for the residents. With assistance, they can go in and cook food and that type of thing. I just was very much impressed with the layout of the place. They have the one hallway there that looks like a street in a small town. They have the beauty shop set up there with a little storefront type thing. It just looks really neat. The lady I spoke with was great.

My mother is at Brookdale Bend. My initial impression was very good. I really liked the building. They have a couple of areas where you could go outdoors, but you're still within the building. The staff seem to be very friendly.

My dad was able to wander for 20 minutes before falling down. The second night there (also his second fall) he was moved to the hospital then they said he could "not return" because he needed "too much care". You are MEMORY CARE. You are the highest level of care we could get. We were private pay, btw.

My dad moved into Brookdale Bend. It's been wonderful, they've done such a good job. He talks about how dedicated the staff are, and the people I've talked to on the phone are so nice. I attended a Zoom event that they had, and a luau this summer, and they were wonderful. They brought each person up to the TV, so they could get a close up of their loved one, it felt like we were right there participating in it. It's been very, very good. That's one thing he talks about too, how good the food is; he loves their food. The staff is so good, he loves them, it's wonderful, they're just so good and caring. His only complaint is that there is not enough room to walk. I think it's very well worth the money.

I visited Brookdale. It was nice and clean. The room was OK, and the staff was very friendly. The outside area was really small, with no outside activities, and there was a lot of people watching TV.

Brookdale Bend (Formerly Clare Bridge of Bend) is a beautiful place. It is just a memory care unit, and it's smaller, but it's so charming. The grounds are gorgeous. When you walk in to the common area, they have it set up like a little town. The offices look like stores and the hallways have street names. It is really adorable. The staff is amazing, even the people that visit there. They are willing to talk to everybody. This facility has nothing but memory care patients and I am just in awe of them. They communicate very well with the residents there. They have activities all the time. Almost every single time that I've gone there, they're involved in doing something. My mother is participating in things that she never did before when she was in a facility in California.
