"Mom moved in She liked the sense of community. She liked the location. She liked some of their staff. They knew her and they were very welcoming. The layout and meal were fine. They offered fitness classes, outings and crafts, and movies daily. Happy hour. They have non-denominational church services. They offer a lot of opportunities for the residents to mingle."

"At Regency Village at Bend, there's no separation between independent and assisted living. You just add on the care that you want. It's customized and it's done on a point system. The grounds were very pretty, and there were lots of common spaces. The residents were very open and friendly and appeared to be very glad to be there. Kari was very helpful and her follow-up was very good. She sent me an email and follow-up before the end of the day. We just walked through the dining room, and it was spacious and clean. We saw a lot of the activity spaces. We saw that there typically is a lot going on for the residents and even some of the residents teach each other. There is a resident there who teaches watercolor painting."

"I came in as a Christmas caroler a couple of years ago to bring up the spirits of the residents that specifically didn't have family to share the Holidays with; I have a good friend that works at Fox Hollow as well. I have always loved this facility and was just more impressed when I went in the building for myself. The facilities were beautiful, lots of open space and landscaping. I was very impressed with the staff and their friendliness. I loved the people and the atmosphere. The building was clean and inviting, making the residents and their families feel right at home. The staff is readily prepared with anything that is needed by the residents be it immediate or not immediate. The food smelled amazing and I am sure that the residents feel like they are really taken care of. I absolutely cannot sing the praises of this assisted-living facility enough. Love it! "

"Brookdale Redmond was very nice. It felt very comfortable and welcoming. The room was very acceptable and very nice. There was just no empty room that we could see, and that was a little disappointing. We had to kind of sneak into one of the resident's rooms. Michelle was wonderful though. She did a great job. They let us have lunch, which was great. My mother thought it would be a fine place for her to live, and we actually put down a deposit."

"My dad has moved into Regency Village at Prineville. It seems fine, but I think there could be some improvement on the food. Sometimes it's not real chewable for him; sometimes the meat is really tough. The place is really nice, and his room is really clean and nice. The have a studio and a one-bedroom apartment. I think they do bingo and some other board games exercises two or three times a week, and bingo two or three times a week; they have other stuff. They have an upstairs room that is really nice that looks out over the city. The have a hairstylist, and a big dining room that everybody sets up. The people are really, really nice there. I think the price is pretty comparable to what everybody is. The food does affect the overall. This isn't the first time he's been around; he's been in three. When they don't have people that address senior lifestyles of eating, I think it affects them. When my dad lived with me, I cooked for him, and I think that that does have an effect. I think they could have some improvement in the kitchen, but I almost think every one of them needs improvement in the kitchen."

"Everything we have experienced so far has been good at Bend Villa. The staff is helpful. She has got a 2-bedrooom unit with a living area, a very small kitchen, and a nice bathroom. It’s homey. The food is very good, and they’ve got quite a few activities like arts and crafts, movies, cards, and happy hour once in a while. The location is good, and the fact that mom has had friends that have stayed there before is good. "

"We chose to move my parents to Touchmark at Pilot Butte because the services they offer are complete and everything is available there. Also, the fact that they have in-home care within the facility available for a lower rate than you would pay an outside company. Their living space is beautiful. It's practically brand new. It's gorgeous. The food is excellent. The staff is wonderful. They are very helpful and always available. It's very clean."
