Run Away Fast! They assured us there was an open bed/room and Mom could move in within a week. We paid the deposit. Two weeks later we found out the delay in moving in was because there really wasn't a room available, even when they said there was. They admitted that to us. They require a $5000 deposit. They returned $4000 of it and kept the rest. Essentially taking money from my Mom.

Murray Highland Memory Care is a small and very intimate community. The staff are friendly. My father is in a shared room and although it's small for the two people, it's just adequate. It has a nice window looking out into the courtyard and a very good-sized bathroom. They're very good at resident engagement and they do very well with activities. For what we're getting and for what we're paying, it's a great value for our money. The only thing is they're struggling to get staff, just like every other community.

Today is my father's first day in Murray Highland Memory Care. It's a small community, and they have good one-on-one care with the residents. They're very responsive to requests through email or phone calls. So far, it's been a good experience. He has a private room. They have an activity director, and they have a variety of things that they do including music, games, puzzles, exercises, and that sort of thing. They provide three meals a day and snacks any time the residents wanted them. It's his first day, so I'm still figuring out everything that they have today. There's no problem moving him in. We just brought him in, and they were very helpful.
