I toured the Baptist Village of Enid. They are working on an area. They used to have a waterfall on one of the walls, and they took it down. So, it's under construction, but it's still very nice. When you come in, they have a desk there. Then, you go on into the facility, where there are tables and chairs available for eating. It's like a bar where they can serve you food. And then just around the corner, is a nice auditorium where entertainment is available. The staff who gave the tour were very nice and helpful. The only thing about the facility was that the rooms were very small. The rooms they had available were open to the inside of the facility. They have a courtyard on the inside, and there wasn't sunlight coming in the rooms. They do have some rooms open outside, but none are available. The price was very low, quite a bit lower than where we took mom, but every couple of months, they were going up.

I will be moving into Golden Oaks Village. They have everything out there. You can start with cottages, and they have apartments, assisted living, nursing home, and skilled nursing. The staff during the tour was fantastic. I've been out there several times. I'm familiar with them. The food was great. I will have a two-bedroom two-bath cottage, living room, kitchen, and dining area. They have the church, exercise room, swimming pool, beauty shop, and a lake with the walkway around the lake. They have an activities list every month, and they send it to everyone. You can participate in whatever you want to or everything. They're all great out there. I have known people out there for years, so I'm familiar with them. They had several meal choices. I've been in the apartments. I've been in assisted living. I've been in the cottages. I have not been in the nursing home or skilled nursing, but I would rate everything as A+. They take care of everything. They have a great maintenance crew and housekeeping crew there. The activities are great.

Golden Oaks is such a superior place to retire. It has everything you need: a pool, food court, tennis courts, even a massage parlour. It's simply the best. My grandmother received excellent service from the employees and always got a warm meal delivered to her door at dinner and lunch time. Breakfast was in the food court and she is satisfied with the quality of the foos.
