I toured Holiday Pearl Crossing. It's very nice, very clean, and very informative. The demo or the one room he had available to show us, what it looked like was very nice. It was one bedroom with a little kitchenette and a bathroom. The model that he showed us had a balcony.

I liked Holiday Pearl Crossing very much. I came after hours and spoke with the maintenance man who gave me some help. The person I should have talked to and had a tour with was not there. The maintenance man was just a very nice and helpful man. I thought the facility was clean everywhere and very well kept up. I saw a couple of rooms and they were large. The 2-bedroom apartment had an irregular shape to it that I liked. They weren't just one square after another square. The closet size was large. I liked the view. I liked the fact that you could go outside and walk around and see a wooded area. It was beautiful. I was there 2 or 3 times and each time, I met very nice people.

I didn't like anything about Holiday Pearl Crossing. It smelled bad and it was dirty. They had invited us for lunch, and then they said that they had forgotten they invited us. They were rude. One person who lived there was telling us nice things about the place, and they told her to be quiet. The apartments were nice, spacious, and light. They said that there was a laundry on each floor, but only one worked. So, you would have to go to that one. The apartments they showed us were on the second and third floor, so you'd have to go downstairs and they didn't know when those were going to be fixed. The carpets were filthy. When we got off the elevator on the third floor, it smelled like urine.

I really like Holiday Pearl Crossing. They had a patio, like a little porch off the rooms. The apartment has one room and a bathroom. There's a refrigerator. They have coffee all day. They have a big dining room, a pool table, a library, and a place where you can go and work out. They play cards and different games. The staff was very nice. She had a cast, and it was hard for her to get around, but she showed me around. I like the hallways, which are big and lit up well. The food was very good. It was a full-course meal. You have a choice of a couple different entrees, and they give you dessert. The facility was clean.

Writing this as a family member. My mom really enjoyed everyone at Pearl. Made real good friends not just with other residents but staff as well. Lived here for 5 years and couldn’t have been a better place for her. Freind’s, food, activities, trips, beauty Solon, church, etc. Thank you to everyone at Pearl Crossing.

Holiday Pearl Crossing had a very nice country-like atmosphere. The facility was like 20 years old. There were a few things that could have used some touch of paint here and there. But overall, it was very bright and had a lot of good natural lighting. The person who gave me the tour was very professional, informative, and knowledgeable. The rooms were a good size, and things were clean. There were no odors about the place. The people were friendly. There was a good-sized group having brunch or lunch.

I did go to Holiday Pearl Crossing, and the woman that helped us was very forthcoming and gave us a lot of information. We got a tour of the facilities. Unfortunately, my brother won't be able to afford that facility. You're on your own there. If you require any assistance, you have to pay for it. Tina was very nice and answered all our questions. I have nothing bad to say about her. I only looked at the model rooms, so they were empty, but they were clean and they looked sufficiently big. The residents were having lunch when we visited. The community room was full. Everybody seemed happy. A lot of people said hello, so the residents were very friendly. We met a couple of the staff people and they were extremely friendly as well. It was very clean. The only thing is that there is only one elevator for the entire area. They should probably put two more because there is a lot of walking for these elderly people. The facility is large, so one elevator isn't going to do it. I saw residents going up and down the stairs, but those that cannot have to go all the way around the atrium and down the long hallways.

Holiday Pearl Crossing was a nice facility. There were a lot of general spaces. There was a fireplace for people to gather and different activity areas where people could congregate. All the common areas looked nice. The facility was clean and there was no smell or anything like that. They were always doing little maintenance, like little touch-ups on the walls. I had some of their cookies and they were pretty good.

We visited Holiday by Atria - Pearl Crossing and liked everything about it. The girl there, Jackie, was wonderful. She was so good that I told her that if we needed independent living again, she'd be my first choice. The place was very organized, very clean, and had a great food menu. The rooms were also very clean and organized, not exactly the size I have where I'm now, but they're very nice. They have everything, a pool table, card games, and activities. It's just wonderful.

I toured Holiday Pearl Crossing. The experience was great. The staff was very good, very accommodating, very transparent, and very informative. The facility was nice and clean and seemed like a comfortable place to live. They had a dining hall, activities, and meeting rooms. The residents were playing cards. The apartment had a parking space right outside the door. It was a nice environment. The dining area was big, pretty, clean, and set up in a way that would be good for socialization.

My sister-in-law is moving in today at Holiday Pearl Crossing. The facility was very clean, and it was very nicely decorated. They offered a lot of different activities for the seniors. Overall, it was just very nice. It's an independent living, but they have on-site aides that offer a greater level of care. The apartment had a small kitchenette area. They can have toasters, and coffee makers, but no hot plates. The refrigerator was nicely sized. They had some different available room layouts. All the upper rooms have little balconies, which is nice. The staff who toured us around the facility, Jackie, was lovely and very helpful. We had a lot of follow-up calls with her.

Our overall experience with Holiday Pearl Crossing was great. The staff was very friendly. The community was exactly what we were looking for. I think it's just a little too expensive. The price starts at $1969 for a studio apartment, and the one-bedroom apartments are in the range of $2600 to $2700. The facility looked to be in very good shape. The landscaping was beautiful. They had a very nice outdoor atmosphere and the inside was nice. There was a smell of cleaning products, which was good. I saw some of the game stuff that they have, like a pool table, which was nice to see. The dining area was spacious and clean. They have bingo and cards. They have cleaning and they have laundry, but the laundry is only for the towels and the sheets. They don't do personal laundry. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

There wasn't anything that either my wife nor I found that we disliked about Holiday Pearl Crossing. We liked the way that the building was laid out, how clean it was, how bright and open it was on the inside, how the place was landscaped outside, and that the parking was adequate. Everyone we talked to seemed very positive. They were very professional and friendly.

Pearl Crossings is a fantastic independent living facility. I have had the opportunity to volunteer there on several occasions to help with their many activities for their residents. Their chef is top notch and the residents and staff are always friendly and fun! I love volunteering there!

Pearl Crossing is a beautiful facility with wonderful and compassionate staff. My mom is recently widowed and has been living at PC for a few months. She is in her 80’s and absolutely feels right at home in her new independent living complex. The rooms are delightfully bright and charming. She is always telling us how delicious the meals are and she stays very active with all the social activities offered. Pearl Crossings is a true blessing and has been the answer to our prayers.

We did a tour of Pearl Crossing. I didn't like that they didn't have a kitchen. The apartments were too small. The staff was very nice, but as soon as I walked in and saw that it was more of a place where you would have some assistance, that's not what we're interested in. We're independent and in very good health. You still have to get on their meal plan because they don't provide you with the kitchen. They have a very tiny area with a sink, and maybe a little refrigerator, but it's not a kitchen; so, you would have to get their meal plan. To me, that is considered assisted living if somebody is cooking for you. The staff was very friendly. The facility was very well kept, and it's a nice-looking place. It's just not what we're looking for. We did take a tour just to see what the apartments looked like. Soon as we found that out, we weren't interested in anything else that they offered. It's too institutional to me. We don't need any help; we don't need people cooking for us. We're very active, and we felt like I was in a nursing home at one point. The person I talked to was very good. It looked fairly modern; and as far as the apartments, I don't believe they were spacious at all, but it was a big building.

Pearl Crossing was very nice. The general appearance of it was very orderly. They took me and showed me a typical room (I guess they call them studios). The only thing I didn't care for is they didn't have somebody there for my brother's medications; you had to do that yourself. They have a lot of activities and physical therapy. It felt homey.

I visited this facility

I toured Pearl Crossing. I thought it was assisted living because I saw the people in wheelchairs and all the people tottering around. Some things turned me off, their supposed fitness room consisted of something like three reclining bicycles tucked in the nook off the lobby, that was it as far as they showed me. No pool. I liked the apartment she showed me because it was an unusually shaped one with nice windows and a good view because they are surrounded by a lot of greenery and trees and grass, which is very nice. However, it is also right on Pearl Road, which in that section of Pearl Road consists of a four or five-lane road and there is no traffic light there. Good luck trying to turn left to go south. The staff didn't make a big impression because I can't quite remember. She just kind of hustled me through. That was the impression I got. One of the things that turned me off was that walking through the endless corridors, was chockablock full of paintings of the Thomas Kinkade variety. Most of these places for the elderly all seem to think we're old fuddy-duddies who like antique furniture and schmaltzy paintings. It seemed clean.

I like Pearl Crossing. I felt comfortable, the staff was great and it was clean. I went during the time that they were having lunch; I liked it. The information that was given to me was what I needed to know. They showed me a studio which was nice. I enjoyed the tour and I feel that it's a good place when you retire. The staff greeted me when I came in, and said I'd have to wait. They were having lunch at the time, the people that live there and their attendants, and they were enjoying their meal. It looks like a restaurant style. Everything was positive and everything was good; I didn't see anything negative. They showed me the library and they showed me a movie room where you can watch movies. There was an area where you can go out and sit out to get some sun; and the apartments have little balconies. I had to punch in my information so they could get a little sticker with my name to let them know that I was a visitor. So nobody can just go in on their own. The outdoors was clean, open with green and flowers.

I toured the Pearl Crossing and it was great. They have great representatives there. She showed me the rooms and stuff like that. In my opinion, it's really at the limit of how far I want to drive; it's about forty minutes away. It takes me an hour to get down to where I'm at right now. I have some reservations about driving that far. The other reservation is the fact that it is truly independent living. If you want somebody to come in, you have to hire somebody to do that. Basically, you get a room, you get three square meals a day, and they do your laundry, which is good. They have free laundry so they could do their own personal stuff. It's a nice place, and has nice people, but I just think it's a little too far away. The room they showed me was like a studio. It had one living room and one bedroom. There's nothing negative about it, just that it's too far out, and it's independent living. They had a great representative -- I can't remember her name -- but she was excellent. She explained things thoroughly, and she called back the next day to see if I had any more questions. I didn't see too much of the activities because I was really more concerned about the condition and what it looked like. It seemed to me that they are comparable to everybody else. There's only so much you can do. You could play cards, and they offer to take you places, but I was looking more at the physical appearance of the place. They answered all the questions I asked, and it seemed like a nice place. I didn't really have a problem with it. It's just too far away.

Pearl Crossing was great. My problem with that place is right now my sister is on Medicaid, and they don't accept Medicaid. The staff members were very good and very thorough. I did like the place; it was very nice and well kept. It would have been a nice fit for my sister but because of the Medicaid situation, we have to look elsewhere. The apartments were nice, big, and laid out very nicely. It would have been great, but it was not going to work for us this time. The location was great because it was close to my home. We only saw one room, and it was very nice. The staff showed us the library and the salon.

My father moved into Pearl Crossing. From their website, all the pictures are exactly what the place is like. It's very clean and elegant, and they have a fantastic dining room. The people provided us what I was looking for, and it's very reasonably priced. The staff is just caring and attentive, and they explained every question I had. From what I've seen that my dad has had, I'd strongly recommend the food. It's very good. They have activities going on. The facility looks fantastic. It's just overall a great community. It was convenient to where I live and to my brothers.

The people at Pearl Crossing were very nice. I like that they have an area where you can get your own coffee, and they have an electric board that had the activities. It didn't suit my needs because my mother would need more eventually. You don't want to go somewhere where you have to move the resident again, but they were all friendly and willing to talk. I actually looked at Pearl Crossings before and visited again. I really liked it the last time we were there, and I was kind of hoping we could afford to move in there, but we really could not. We ate there, and I thought the food was excellent. At that time, we looked at an efficiency apartment but did not want an efficiency room at that time. So, I was not happy with the apartment that we looked at. I did not get to look at a one-bedroom apartment at that time because they did not have any open. When they told us what it was going to cost, we told them we could not afford it. The staff was excellent. I really liked the lady that talked to us because not too many people would go out of their way to call another place and see if there was something open that someone could go into. I really appreciated her doing that for us. I actually liked the look of the place. It was classy.

My sister has been living and doing well at Pearl Crossing for three months. She does have dementia, but she's doing OK. We chose it because she has cats, and they take pets. Everything is fantastic there, and everybody is nice. I was surprised how well she adapted there. She goes down for dinner and meets some friends who are very supportive of her. They're very nice and they encourage her. It's a good place. They have entertainment that comes in sometimes, which she usually goes to. It's a very friendly place. The rooms were nice and comfortable. They had a lot of activities that people who were there can be busy all day. They paint, they do crafts, bingo, and movies, and they take people out for shopping, to the market, and to the malls. The location is great. It's not far from the Strongsville mall. They had transportation, and if they want to go to the doctor, they can help them with that too.

Pearl Crossing was extremely clean, and all the staff was really friendly and helpful. They take care of everything. They have activities like bingo, check different places periodically, pool table, game rooms, card, a really nice library, and movies in the theater room. There is a lot of room to roam around, and the food is great. They have meatloaf which is actually good, but you have an option if you don’t want the meatloaf to have a salad -- usually two or three different options for your main course -- and they give you options for your sides and for desserts. If you don’t like your meal, there is no way you should leave without eating as they have plenty of options. You could walk for a long time just inside the facility without even leaving it, which is one of the reasons I like it. In the winter, they have a sitting area outside under a roof, and there is a walkway around the entire building. There is plenty of room for exercises, outside is wooded in the back, and they have benches all over. Just a beautiful place, good neighborhood, and plenty of shopping close by. Two days a week, they will take the residents shopping if they want, and three days a week, they are made available to take them on doctor’s visits.

The experience at Pearl Crossing was very pleasurable. The facility was very nice. They have a very large dining room in the center of the facility which was three stories high. The three floors go around the top of that dining room so that you could look down into the dining room. The dining room sits everybody that lives there. It has somewhat over 100 people. They have a church facility and a lot of different activities. The people that worked there were very helpful and knowledgeable. My mother was in Pearl Crossing before. She didn't need much care there because she was a lot better at that time. Their food was not always great, and they went through a lot of chefs. But other than the food, I was very happy with Pearl Crossing. I just liked the whole atmosphere. They were independent and a tight-knit community, and they kept a good eye on her. I would love to get her back there, but I don't think she will ever be good enough to go back. It was more affordable, and she was making it without any kind of outside assistance like Medicaid or VA or anything like that.

Pearl Crossing was the best fit for what mom needed. She moved there last July 1st. I'm impressed by independent living lifestyle coupled with the ability to have nursing care onsite as needed. The staff is approachable, responsive and accessible. Mom has a one bedroom, one bathroom and a small kitchen area. I did eat one meal there and it was okay.
