My husband was in Arlington Pointe for rehab. It was very good. He had physical therapy several times a week, and it really helped him. There were a few staff that were kind of slow when he'd call for help, but most of them were very good. Most of the time, the food was very good. It wasn't like some frozen stuff they pulled out of the freezer. They had a guy there who cooked, and it was good. The place was very nice and very clean. They had a few activities. They had things that the patients could do and get involved in, and it was good. Medicare paid ours. We were only there as long as they were paying, so it was well worth it to them, whatever Medicare paid them.

I do not typically write reviews; however, I feel it is important to document the concerns we had about the care my stepfather received at Arlington Pointe, in the hope that this information may help other families who are facing similar decisions. My stepfather was admitted to Arlington Pointe following a month-long hospital stay and a brief placement in another nursing facility. During our initial tour, we were provided with specific staff-to-resident ratios and were given assurances about the level of attention and care he would receive. In practice, these representations were not accurate. State guidelines clearly indicate that each resident should be checked on at least every two hours. Based on our direct observations, this standard was not consistently met. My mother visited the facility every single day and routinely stayed for 7–8 hours at a time. During these visits, she was repeatedly told by staff that the aide "did not have time" to change my stepfather's diaper. This is especially troubling given my stepfather’s condition. He had Parkinson’s disease with dementia and was incontinent, which made timely and consistent personal care not just important, but essential for his comfort, dignity, and health. Failing to provide this level of care is, in our view, unacceptable. Nutritional care was also a significant concern. My stepfather was discharged to Arlington Pointe with explicit orders for a soft diet due to his medical condition and swallowing needs. Despite these instructions, he was frequently served foods that were inappropriate and potentially unsafe for him, including cheeseburgers, pizza, onion rings, and consistently undercooked vegetables, just to name a few. My mother often had to send these meals back, reminding staff of the soft diet order. Rather than being met with understanding or corrective action, she frequently encountered resistance, dismissiveness, and a lack of urgency in addressing these issues. It is important to note that my mother was paying close to $13,000 per month for his care at this facility. For that level of cost, we reasonably expected attentive, compassionate, and competent care aligned with both medical instructions and basic standards of dignity. Instead, our experience was one of indifference and minimal effort. It often felt as though no one truly cared about his well-being. We frequently walked through the halls and observed residents asleep in their wheelchairs, with no staff present to supervise or assist them. On many occasions, residents were positioned at tables with their meals placed in front of them, but received no help with feeding. As a result, they were often left slumped over in their chairs, waiting for assistance that did not come, raising serious concerns about the adequacy of supervision and the quality of care being provided. Even after his passing, our concerns continued. We requested his clothing, which he had upon admission, and which the facility required us to label clearly with his name. These items were of emotional significance to our family, particularly to his grandson, who had asked for some of his belongings as keepsakes. We were repeatedly told that the clothes were in the laundry room, yet they were never located or returned to us. This may seem like a small detail in comparison to issues of medical and personal care, but it speaks volumes about the overall level of organization, respect, and responsibility within the facility. Taken together—misleading information about staffing, failure to adhere to recommended check-in intervals, inadequate personal care for an incontinent resident with Parkinson’s and dementia, disregard for prescribed dietary requirements, and the mishandling of personal belongings—our experience with Arlington Pointe has left us deeply disappointed! The facility is clean and visually appealing; however, our experience raised serious concerns. Staff were generally cold, unresponsive, and insufficiently attentive to residents and their families. As a result, I cannot recommend Arlington Pointe to anyone seeking compassionate, reliable care for a loved one.

I came in for physical therapy. Therapist is wonderful. Aides are not good. I wasn’t ambulatory. I sat in urine for two and a half hours. Aide didn’t wash all the urine off. The pillow was still soaked. My back was still covered in urine. RNs were very caring.

I have been here for about 1 1/2 years. The aides and the nurses are fantastic, longwait on call light sometimes, understaffed at times, but the physical therapy Is the best time ever.I have been to other facilities and there physical therapy department doesn’t even match what we have here, great people to work with, good equipment to work with, and the therapist are the best in the tri-state area

Facility is very clean. Most staff are friendly. Some are more caring than others. Seems to be understaffed at times. Takes a long time to respond to call lights for elderly people.. Food could be better sometimes for elderly people. Is cold sometimes by the time residents get their food. Coffee is too strong and cold.

Family member has a few good nurses. However, long response times for elderly needing to use the restroom some nurses seemed bothered to have to care for resident. Perhaps too short staffed. Beautiful facility, smells clean., but sometimes a ghost town

Day time staff is friendly. However, the food is often cold when it is delivered and the coffee is luke-warm. They are understaffed - for example, wait time for a response is very long. This makes it difficult on an elderly person that needs to get to the restroom.

i was at arlington for rehab, they r wonderful , the rehab people are so nice but they need to read drs orders of the patient and c what they can do befor giving them the rehab, some people have issues befor they come there and seems like all they care about is what they came there for. we do have other issues and have some feelings for the pain u have other than rehab reasons. the place is great, people great just need more education on how sick the person is, and take that into consideration of how much someone can take, because the patient knows their lemits
