Rooms are large and roomy. Staff is nice when you can get them but service is horrible. My sister was there for over 20 days and many times she had to wait 2-3 hours for an answer to her button. The food is not edible, cold (sometimes not even room temperature but cold), soggy and burnt. Trays would be placed on the tray table but not put in a position the patient could reach. Items on the tray, like salad dressing were not opened and very difficult to open. I'm not sure my sister would have eaten at all some days if we would not have been there to help her. Bed would be is disarray for hours. Bedclothes that came off the bed would lay in the room for hours and even days piled on the chair or sofa. Often had to ask them to take out the trash, They had an infestation of mice. There was actually a mouse in my sisters room on more than one occasion. Please don't ever consider putting a loved one in this facility

Walnut Creek is & has been very understaffed , for along time now. This is a fact & can be verified. The memory unit rarely has anyone to check on them. I have been at the dining room , when there is no one to finish serve them , nor watch the residents in case of a emergency. My mother has been left in the same clothes for 5 days at a time , with stains and smells. The administration , nor the DON or CEO , never return calls or emails. They are very disorganized & never get your paperwork sent to the proper places , when your loved one has a Appt. The call lights are always going off by residents and ive personally watched them ignore them. I have personally pushed my mothers , call button and at times , no one ever comes , even up to 2 hours. The staff seems to turn over very quickly. I would never recommend Walnut Creek to anyone. I could go on and on , but it would take alot of time & they have wasted enough of my time. As well as i have asked to see my mother's medical records and have been refused to see them. Or they try to charge a large fee.

Walnut Creek is a very professional place and the staff is exceptional. We as a family are very happy with the care that our mother is getting. I would recommend them. The food is really good, mom really likes it. She has been there for two and a half years. Sanitation is really good too.

There was one more I visited, and it is called the Walnut Creek. Everything was nice. I actually like this place a little bit better, and I don't know why. All the places I visited were clean. I guess they spent a little more time with me talking about my situation. The staff is great. Everyone seems great. I didn't meet the whole staff, but the people I was introduced to and the administration people were nice. The rooms are very nice. They are as clean and spacious as can be for a nursing home. As for activities, they have the same things like bingo and that kind of thing. I didn't look that hard on it, but I think they have a place they can do your hair and make you feel good about yourself. I was very impressed with them.

Walnut Creek Nursing Center is a nice facility, but they were full we couldn't get my mom in there.
