The Village at St. Edward

My mother lived at The Village of St. Edward Fairlawn for 20 years, and her great experience there is what encouraged me to look at facilities for myself. I'll consider it. I'm comfortable with the fact that I'm quite sure this facility was very highly reviewed and recommended, and I would add my accolades to that. She started in independent living for about five years and then went over to assisted living for 15. The community was wonderful. They get good people in there, both on the staff and residents. They gave you three food selections. If you don't like any of them, you could order off their menu, and their steaks were always good. Socially, they really shine. My mother enjoyed bingo. When she was more able, she went out into the community on their bus, and they did all kinds of things. They also had crafts and other things appropriate to the season. They had an OK physical therapy facility, and the PT also came to your room if you couldn't get to the facility. The nursing care was pretty good. I loved it. I wish I could go there. If I had any relatives at all still in the area, that's probably where I'd go.
