"Longview Hill Nursing And Rehabilitation Center had the secure dementia unit that we were looking for, and it was only women, so that was important. It was clean, bright, didn't smell bad, and the staff and the residents that we saw on the tour looked happy and satisfied. We also had a family there in the past and they said they were good. Medicaid only pays for a semi-private, so that's what my mom will have. It's in a secure hallway that they can't get out of without somebody who knows the code. Each semi-private room has a bathroom and a shower. This had a toilet, sink, and shower that just the two people in the room had to share. They also do therapy. We looked at the list of activities on the board and they had a lot going on, like bingo and stuff. They have their own little sitting area with a TV, couches, and tables, and then they have their own enclosed little courtyard that they can go in and out of. Everything was nice looking. It's been recently remodeled and it was bought out by Regency Health Services, I believe, just last year."

"As the primary caregiver for a senior neighbor/friend who fell and broke her hip, the challenges arising from the Covid pandemic have been more numerous than I can count. When my neighbor was unable to return to her home, Summer Meadows worked with her insurance to provide her ongoing rehab and did a wonderful job in helping her regain her mobility. My friend has been exceedingly pleased with the care she has received and has highly complimented the quality of the food and her CNAs and nurses (who have been good to call with physician appointments and any changes in status). Of greatest commendation is the therapy crew who went above and beyond to get her back on a regular diet and up on her feet. My thanks to them all."

"This is a smaller, older nursing home so it is not as 'pretty' as some of the other local facilities but the staff is what makes the difference. They have many employees that have been there a long time and will remember your family. They provide top notch care and are sensitive to special needs or circumstances. We had our mother in three other facilities are various times but settled on this one when needed."

"When my wife was admitted she suffered from memory loss and prone to falling. I had no idea what to expect but due to the diligence of the staff her memory loss and ability to navigate without assistance has improved significantly. The entire staff is friendly and willing to assist in any way possible. The facility has bingo, Pastor visits and singing groups that the residents enjoy very much. The facility is kept sparkling clean at all times which is comforting to me. Last but not least, the staff has become like family to me and my wife."

"Briarcliff is a very nice nursing home. It is clean and the food is quite good. They even serve the food restaurant style. Each individual gets served when they sit at their table. They have big screen t.v.'s, lots of social events, bbq's, etc. I would highly recommend Briarcliff to anyone that needs a "home" in Carthage."

"I chose Carthage Healthcare Center for my aunt. I chose them because I am in Carthage daily. It is in the same town that I go to every day, so I can see her there more frequently. It reminds me of an old fashion house. It is really cute and clean. The staff I met were all kind, very helpful, and willing to figure out how to make a situation work best for the patients that they have."

"My mother will be moving back into Heritage Manor West. She was in there for physical therapy before, and she liked it, so she wanted to go back there into the nursing home. She liked the people there, and she liked the service there. She liked everything. The food was good, the nurses were good, and the aides were good. Their staff was excellent. The place was clean, and it looked brand new. They had activities, like card games and painting."
