"As the primary caregiver for a senior neighbor/friend who fell and broke her hip, the challenges arising from the Covid pandemic have been more numerous than I can count. When my neighbor was unable to return to her home, Summer Meadows worked with her insurance to provide her ongoing rehab and did a wonderful job in helping her regain her mobility. My friend has been exceedingly pleased with the care she has received and has highly complimented the quality of the food and her CNAs and nurses (who have been good to call with physician appointments and any changes in status). Of greatest commendation is the therapy crew who went above and beyond to get her back on a regular diet and up on her feet. My thanks to them all."

"Longview Hill Nursing And Rehabilitation Center had the secure dementia unit that we were looking for, and it was only women, so that was important. It was clean, bright, didn't smell bad, and the staff and the residents that we saw on the tour looked happy and satisfied. We also had a family there in the past and they said they were good. Medicaid only pays for a semi-private, so that's what my mom will have. It's in a secure hallway that they can't get out of without somebody who knows the code. Each semi-private room has a bathroom and a shower. This had a toilet, sink, and shower that just the two people in the room had to share. They also do therapy. We looked at the list of activities on the board and they had a lot going on, like bingo and stuff. They have their own little sitting area with a TV, couches, and tables, and then they have their own enclosed little courtyard that they can go in and out of. Everything was nice looking. It's been recently remodeled and it was bought out by Regency Health Services, I believe, just last year."

"My husband has been in the Pittsburg Nursing Center for over a year now. Before he was in a Gilmer Wesley House and Mt. Pleasant's The Lodge. Needing more care he was moved to Pittsburg's Nursing Center last year. I have not noticed anything that I would call a problem. He get great personal care and medical care. The food for patients is very good,. My husband enjoys it and it is much better than some other nursing homes. He is always tidy and so is his room. He is out of his room a lot and is always supervised. If anything goes wrong they call me right then and tell what they have had to do and will do as future help towards him. I have been very satisfied with Pittsbur Nursing Center"

"My husband is staying at Highland Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation. He seems to like it. They work with him six days a week. They skip Saturday, and they work Sunday through Friday. He seems content, and he's beginning to progress. The staff is very attentive and they show concern, and with his condition that really helps a lot. It's an old building, but it didn't smell. It's very clean. They've got an activity board, but he's paralyzed. He can't partake in any of those, but every day they've got stuff scheduled for the residents."

"I went to Whispering Pines Lodge I, but it was more of a nursing facility and my cousin didn't need that. She would have a shared bedroom, and it just didn't fit my cousin. It's a little bit older. It was more of a hospital atmosphere. The staff was wonderful. She wouldn't have gotten choices there. You just eat what they give you. They had bingo that was going on while I was there and they just had a Halloween party."

"Havencare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center LLC was an older building, so it's not as fresh, but the people were nice, it looked clean, and didn't smell bad. The person who toured us was very nice too. It had a good vibe. We were interested in the semi-private room, but the bathrooms in those just had a toilet and a sink. The shower rooms too were separate in the hall."

"My mother-in-law moved into The Willows of Kilgore. It came highly recommended from other stroke victims. The staff has been excellent. They have a craft room and visiting entertainers who come and play music for them, and they participate in the Senior Olympics. They serve three meals a day."

"Staff is amazing and cares about their job! They are always willing to go above and beyond for their residents. My Papa has been here six months and loves it. He loves the activities and especially the food. I have worked at several facilities and none of them compared to Lakeview. They work together as a team. At any given time, you will see the DON or administrator chipping into help where needed. 110% would recommend for anyone to bring their family to Lakeview. "

"Whispering Pines was a small community, so everyone knows everybody. It's got a homey feel to it. My mother's room was very blah, I wasn't very impressed, but I think she's being cared for there. The meals are pretty good. They did have things to do like painting, a pool room, and so on. I just wish they could have more physical therapy or something that could help the patients do more of the activities."

"My brother is staying at Arbor Grace Guest Care Center. He likes doing the exercises with everybody, and he likes the food there. His room is adequate for him, and it's what he likes. They have a dining room. They play bingo and some groups come in. The staff there do their jobs. The place is clean, and it doesn't smell."
