"Bey Lea had been very helpful and thorough. My mom is going to a very rough time right now. The doctors have been excellent. She is going to like a depression, and they are treating her for that. They staff as far as physical therapy are very good in caring. She has been eating in her room, but they have a very nice dining facility as she is able to get around at this point. It’s very nice. "My father-in-law was in a nursing facility that was five minutes from my mother-in-law's house called Rose Garden. There are people that are there for long term and for rehab. I thought it was very neat, and it is very modern. If you are interested in doing things in that facility, they have things going on to stimulate patients. It is in a very good location. They have nice grounds and nice landscaping. The sad thing though is most of their people do not want to do things. They just sit around and watch the boob tube like my father-in-law. They do give therapy there, but their patient has to be motivated. I would say it a depressing place because the people are not motivated. They have things for them to do, but they don't want to do them. My father-in-law is one of them. He just wants to wait to die. He doesn't exercise or he supposed to do physical therapy. He just sits there and does nothing. They do wheelchair exercises and physical therapy. They have socialization centers where everybody can eat together. The one thing that is very good is they have a place where you can socialize if you want to do that. A lot of older people get depressed because they don't have socialization outside of their home. Nobody wants to go to a nursing home, but they are the best. I thought they were very good. "

"My room is bug infested. I've reported the problem but nothing has been done. I push the button for help and have had to wait anywhere from 1 to 6 hours for someone to see what the problem is. Every morning I ask the nurse for my pain medication and 1 nurse tells me she'll check then walks away. She usually comes back between 2 to 3 hours later. Since I've been transferred to this section I have not had any type of exercise or physical therapy. I have not been out of this bed once. The food is horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even my worse enemy!"

"hello, recently i put my mother in this awsome senior home. at first i was not really sure about doing this, but after they gave me a tour i wanted to live here. the staff is very nice and and helpful. the place itself seems safe and comfortable. after i recieved the tour i found out there is so much to do there. you can garden play golf, checkers chess, ping pong, read and your family can come to visit you in the day. my mom made so many new friends and they play bingo every friday. it is as when you go there you develope your own scedual of what you are going to do for the day. also the food that they serve is acceptable. it is not like prison food or a childs cafateria food. the food is very nice and almost 2 steps higher than a tv dinner. if you are looking for a senior home in NJ this is the best by far. this senior home will make your elders happy. also they will like to meet new people. when my mom went there she said it is like haveing a second family. if you put your elders here they will love it and will never want to come home. you may think of it as a bad thing but you can always go visit them so there is no sadness of seperation. they also have full fone privligaes. happy elders "

"Greetings….. I just wanted to make a few comments about my Mom`s stay at Aristacare in Whiting. Although there`s no place like home I need to say that overall, The Aristacare staff, including the social workers, doctors, nurses, aides, and rehab instructors were all great to my Mom and myself. All were courteous, informative, polite, caring, and never in a rush. Phone calls were answered promptly. When she left, they even made sure that anyone who was in on their shift that day could say good-bye to her. So you can see it was a very positive experience for my Mom. From my Mom and I, we say thank you. "

"I toured Harrogate, and it's very good, just expensive. I did have a meal there, and it was delicious. Everything including their entertainment is free, you don't have to pay for it. They have buses and cars that take you places. They also have a huge library, and a patio to sit out on. They had a pool, a gym, and physical therapy if you need it. The staff were fabulous, they're just great. They are friendly and very willing to inform you of any questions that you ask. It is such a pleasant experience. The place is right in the heart of everything that goes on there."

"Pines Village was very nice. When you come in, it was like walking into a nice, beautiful hotel lobby. It's very, very nicely decorated, and there were a lot of people around as they were getting ready to go to a different community to sing for some people. The director was very nice. I had a chance to have lunch there and it was excellent. I complimented the cook. I had a great hamburger and told them so. The apartments were very nice, too. They seemed to be very well appointed, and they had either a balcony or a screened in porch with beautiful gardens, which I got to see."

"My wife has been a resident since mid-November 2024. I have had ample opportunity over several months to meet with various staff members regarding my wife's physical situation, and to observe and interact with aides and nurses, all of whom have impressed me with their compassionate, caring and professional interactions with the residents. The food is above average in quality, quantity and taste, and is routinely delivered in a timely manner. Most of all I am impressed with the fact that my wife is comfortable and well cared for at Aristacare, and has repeatedly told me that she is very happy there. I am convinced that I've made the right choice for my wife's care and well being."

"My dad stayed at Manchester Manor Rehabilitation. The rooms were decent and the staff was friendly He did not really participate in any activities. My dad did not like the food served. The facility did not have a good physical therapy area. I thought that needed improvement along with the food. "

"My dad was at Crestwood Manor for rehab. The rooms were good, and the food was good. The activities that they had to break up the day for these patients were very good. Sometimes, during nice weather, they would go in the back. I guess they called it the garden, and it was a beautiful area. They bring the patients out and let them sit in the sun for a little while, or under the awnings where it was shaded. That was a very nice thing. The staff was very nice. If I found there might have been something that was not done to my father that should have been, or staying on top of his medication, because there were a lot of medication changes during the time he was there, or things of that nature, I would go up to the desk and explain whatever situation it was. They were more than accommodating. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. I don't know if it had been recently renovated, but the first time we were there it looked very nice. There were paintings on the walls, and the rooms were very nice. I would say that the only negative thing I could say, and this would depend on whether it was the day shift or the night shift, was that a couple of times my dad became irritated because he was unable to get up and change his own diaper, and sometimes he'd have to sit for a little while. It wasn't something that happened very often. In this particular case, the staff, like all these places, are short staffed. We didn't pay anything because this was all through Medicare."
