"I loved The Guardian House. The staff was just helpful and personable. They did a great job. It was clean and everyone there was very attentive to the residents. Their entertainment director was wonderful. She takes the residents out shopping and doing whatever they need to do for themselves. So, that keeps them independent at some level and I liked that. The place was spotless. It was clean. The residents were happy. The cafeteria was also clean. Everything looked great. It looked like a brand-new building. They're all-inclusive. Everything that my mother could need would be right there. Everything's top-notch."

"Holy Hill was an older facility, but it was clean. The staff seemed to be nice for the short time I was in there, but they ended up not accepting my mom because she was aggressive, so we had a little problem with that. The staff was kind, and from what I saw, they seemed to be OK. However, the facility could use some updating. "

"I went to Grand Cove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It was a nice community. I didn't taste any of the food there, but they toured me around the facilities. Very easy. It was all contained in one building. Very logical. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. It was kind of one of those once they got the information on Dad they realized that he was going to need a bit higher level of skilled nursing than what they offered."

"My dad moved into Lake Charles Care Center in February. The facility is clean. The staff is attentive and numerous. The staff keeps me updated. They have my phone number. They call for every little thing, which is good. The food, they had an extra meal and they gave it to me. I'd pay money to eat that at a restaurant. It's clean. It's never dirty. My dad's linens are always fresh. His clothes are cleaned regularly. I can't say that I have constructive criticism or complaint about the location. Cleanliness. Good security. They make their rounds often. They renovated it recently, so it looks modern and smells clean. It's a care facility, but it's not a sterile medical facility, so it's not high and tight, but it's not stuffy. So, it's a good middle-of-the-road kind of feel to it."

"I visited this facility 2 weeks ago. The building is VERY beautiful. Not what I expected from a nursing home. The staff was very friendly, caring, and all the residents looked very happy. This nursing home has a lot of amenities including its own movie theatre, very large chapel, a sports lounge with actual sports memorabilia, and several other lounging areas. The design of the rooms are unique. Instead of residents in a semi-private room divided by a curtain as I've always seen, the rooms are divided by their own bathroom and shower which makes the room feel like a private room. Overall this home is very nice. I would recommend this home to anyone trying to find a loving and caring atmosphere for your family."
