"My parents were admitted to DeRidder Retirement and Rehab October 2024. They loved it. Without me asking they would say how good they were treated. My Mom even likes the food and she is a very picky eater, so for me that was a win, win. I never wanted to have to put my parents in a nursing home but when it was my only option I was thankful to have been blessed with the best care available, in my opinion, in their area. I fully believe the staff adopts the characteristics of their superiors . I observed administrator Chelsea and Julie the social worker show so much love and compassion to the residents. I mention them because they are the ones that set the example that I saw the rest of the staff exhibit. I highly recommend DeRidder Retirement and Rehab."

"Mom has lived for three years on and off at Rosepine Retirement. They are not accommodating enough because of their personality or their skills as they don’t have enough people. The food and the dining set ups are good. They should have more staff. They just repainted and remodeled. They have a great physical therapy. "

"As soon as you walk in the door at Woodlands, you immediately smell urine, so it was not clean. They are building a new building. The staff did not impress me at all. We were looking for a place for my mom to have rehabilitation after her double knee replacement. The food at their rehabilitation center comes from the Woodlands, and it was just horrendous, awful, and terrible."

"My mother is in Shady Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center. It's in a really small town. It's family owned and operated, and I've known the place ever since I was a little girl. I used to go out there back in the 1970s and sing for the residents there. The facility is getting old and it's not updated, but the staff there is very, very professional. They seem to be very committed to what they're doing to their mission for their residents and I think she's getting good care. I feel safe there. It's not like falling apart. There's nothing dangerous for the residents. It just needs a makeover."

"I put my loved one back in Care Center Of DeQuincy. It is right here at home, and I can go 2 times a day and check on her. They take really good care of her. They make sure she gets her bath and make sure she eats. They do everything good. They do exercise class in the morning time in the main lobby. They have like music where they can move their hands and their feet. They hit balloons. They do a therapy thing with her too. They all sit out in the lobby all day watching TV or listening to music. They serve breakfast, dinner, and supper. They’re really good. They got vans that they take them to their doctor’s appointments. Usually when they take her, I meet them up there just to go in the room with her, but I don’t even have to do that because they have somebody that will do that too when they take them up there. I know most of the staff. They’re really good. They talk to her. They’re really friendly. They’re up-to-date and everything. "
