Mom has lived for three years on and off at Rosepine Retirement. They are not accommodating enough because of their personality or their skills as they don’t have enough people. The food and the dining set ups are good. They should have more staff. They just repainted and remodeled. They have a great physical therapy.

To begin I would expect less in Columbus, GA. The feeling you get when you grace the doors is a shot of warm stale air that produces an egg stench. Immediatly the hoards of the helpless grace the doorways and it makes me sad. This home has no structure. The people are left to wander around on their own and tend to themselves mostly. My aunt was lively and tried to attend every pageant, ballroom dance, and runway show. Her spirit was broken when she was moved to Rosepine. Her only pleasure in life now was her chewing tobacco which was crammed in her mouth when she was found dead. She was given roommates who would peck her with their fingernails and shout at her all hours. The nursing home has no structure. The nurses are probably some of the rudest I have met. Slacking, taking extended lunch brakes, walking lazily, and rolling their eyes at the patients requests. The only bright side is the majority of the patients. They are some of the funniest people I have met and all understand the position they are in. They remind me of high school students who hate high school. All in all it is terrible.
